<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MOSCOW -- Trajan Langdon scored 17 points and Tomas Van Den Spiegel added 16 to lead CSKA Moscow to a 94-75 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in an exhibition game Saturday. Center Chris Kaman had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Corey Maggette scored 13 points for the Clippers, one of four NBA teams taking part in a European preseason tour and the first to play in Russia since the Atlanta Hawks in 1988. CSKA, the Euro League champions, took over midway through the first half. After a basket by Maggette gave the Clippers a 24-23 lead, CSKA outscored them 29-16 the rest of the half to take a 52-39 lead. Despite a 7-0 run by the Clippers in the third quarter, sparked by a 3-pointer from Tim Thomas, CSKA led 73-57 heading into the fourth. The Clippers scored the first five points in the final quarter, including a 3-pointer from Maggette, but CSKA did not allow Los Angeles within 10 points on the way to the victory. </div> Source
these are a shocking turn of events- i'm referring to the philly lose, now a legit contender gets their lunches handed to them. if anybody defends these guy u have no credibility as a jbb poster. no way, no how should a nba team lose so easily to a team to a minor league team from moscow, made up of nba rejects. work ethic, discipline, b-ball iq., bad coaching, conditioning, desire and the lack of team play should all be questioned. shame on anybody affiliated with the nba.

A minor league team from Moscow made up of NBA rejects, huh? You do know that you're talking about the European champion, right? European teams are not that far behind the NBA teams anymore. But, in the Clippers defense, the Euro teams have been training for a while now, while in the NBA training camp has just started.
Wake Up Call Hey guys ... this is your wake up call !!! Spain (Europe) = World Champion !? Europe catching up with the NBA ??? Moscow a minor league team ??? Let's not forget that these guys are the European Champions !!! Barcelona, Maccabi Tel Aviv and CSKA Moscow are 3 of our best EUROLEAGUE teams. I really hope that your NBA teams can win one game against those 3. Sixers @ Barcelona : 99 - 104 Clippers @ Moscow : 75 - 94 Spurs @ Maccabi : ??? Let's say ... 2 down, 1 to go for Rurope If you talk about Khimki, Roma and ASVEL ... then you talk about minor European teams ... Greetz from Europe.

Yeah, I understood that you were also assaulting the NBA, but you did call CSKA a team of NBA rejects, which isn't true. Sure, there are some players there who couldn't stay in the NBA, but there are also many players that just didn't want to go to the NBA, or didn't try (a la Papaloukas), and some of them are great, NBA-worthy players. That's what I was responding to (you said the exact same thing I meant in the above post, though, so thanks for clearing it all up). As for Anthony Parker, yeah, he's a great player. Despite my hatred for Maccabi (I'm a fan of Hapoel Jerusalem), he's one of the very, very few players who play(ed) there that I really respect. I hope he does well in Toronto.

I can't agree more ! That only proves how strong our European Euroleague is. I think that Panathinaikos, Tau, CSKA and Maccabi will play this years Final Four. And I'd love to see a grand final between the NBA Champ and the Euroleague Champ at the end of the season

The Final Four IMO: CSKA Barcelona Olympiakos Someboy unexpected
They still have Vujcic, who's a big man with an outside shot and great passing skills, but he has injury problems. They also still have Jamie Arnold, who also got Israeli citizenship in the summer, and he's a decent all around player. But there best players are probably their three new players: Rodney Buford (you probably remember him from the NBA), Will Bynum (GS Warriors) and Simas Jasaitis(sharpshooting Lithuanian). To add to all those guys, you have some of the best Israelis, including Yotam Halperin, Lior Eliyahu, Tal Burstein and others. Despite all their good players, though, they don't seem as good as they were in previous years.

Only reason he's effective there is because he's shooting what the college three point shot was. In the NBA he was completely worthless just ask Cleveland Fans. European teams are still pretty far behind some NBA teams IMO Teams like them have players that couldn't make it here or up and coming prospects. <div class="quote_poster">Xplor Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Hey guys ... this is your wake up call !!! Teams like the U.S. have these overpaid lazy players who don't want to represent their country, if the U.S. had their best players, no competition at all. <div class="quote_poster">kobimel Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">They still have Vujcic, who's a big man with an outside shot and great passing skills, but he has injury problems. If America had Kobe, Shaq, KG, Tim Duncan, T-Mac do you think that we would have lost?? Hell no. It's preseason anyways. I'm sure the Clips didn't wanna totally play hard the whole time.
J_Ray: Read my next post after that one. I didn't say that there weren't NBA rejects on those teams at all, but saying that the whole team isn't NBA worthy is wrong.
