<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">RICHMOND, Oct. 7 -- It was midway through last season before Antonio Daniels felt comfortable wearing a Washington Wizards uniform. Daniels, who signed a five-year, $30 million contract in the summer of 2005, got off to a slow start offensively and had a tough time carving a role for himself in a crowded back court that included Gilbert Arenas, Jarvis Hayes and Chucky Atkins. Opportunities opened up once Hayes went down with a season-ending injury and his role solidified once Atkins was released. Daniels eventually worked his way into a groove, earned Coach Eddie Jordan's trust and was a key player down the stretch as the Wizards scrapped their way into the playoffs. Daniels averaged 14.2 points and 4.4 assists in March and 13.7 points and 4.9 assists in April. He finished the season ranked seventh in the NBA in assists per turnover (3.19) and regularly earned trips to the free throw line with his attacking, carefree style.</div> Link I really enjoyed the impact Antonio has made coming off the bench bring that spark of energy he has to the court. He should look to have more playing time being a bigger key for this team and earning his teammates' trust.
Antonio is a perfect bench guy, I think he's much more suited to that role than to the starter role. He brings energy on both ends of the floor, attacks the basket well, and when he's on, he can hit the outside shot well too.
