    ^^ Perfect line Chutney..

When Mike James played for Houston, he was a big ballhog. Thats why I hate him. Also Francis ball hogged too. I like that lineup.

Erm...yes...You still haven't explained how or why you think Vince Carter is a "ballhog", despite the consensus in this thread being that he isn't. He is a more reliable scorer then RJ, and the Nets have been on record and said that NJ's offense last year was modified to revolve more around VC's capabilities as a scorer.

I believe there is no such thing a superstar who isn't a ballhog. How do you score over 25ppg without having the ball in your hand? Kobe, AI, Tmac, VC, D-Wade, Lebron, Arenas, they are all a ballhog. Also I can't find any quotes from Kobe refers to "I" when having a big night score. [IMG]</div>

ever hear of KG? or TD?

Why Randy Foye before he played an NBA game yet?

Randy Foye wasn't much of a distributor at Villanova and considering the fact that he won't get many touches from the other guards on that roster, I can imagine that he is going to take it upon himself to create his own offense.

How can you surround KG with those guards? It would only be fitting to hire Danny Ainge or Vinnie Johnson (as head coach) to replace Duane Casey when this shit blows up in McHale's face.

People only think people who have high ppg averages are ballhogs. Maybe their just scoring alot because thats their role on their team. Maybe their team isnt that good and depends on him for everything. I think this is the reason for people saying D-wade, LBJ, Kobe(Though he does seem to hold on to the ball for awhile), Carter, and other players like that are called ballhogs.

Randy Foye wasn't much of a distributor at Villanova, because he did not get a chance to be. In their four guard offense he was technically a power forward a lot of times with Lowrey bringing up the ball. I don't think you can call him a ball hog without even seeing him play in the NBA yet.

Dude, KG and TD play POWER FORWARD/CENTER position. They are not the guard type that need to carry to dribbling role. Most big can be effective without the ball but most guard can't. I never heard of a Big that consider a ballhog. Ballhog usually apply to the guards mostly because of their ability to dribble, and going 1-1.

When I think of a ballhog, I usally think of AI. Why? because I doubt AI can impact the game without having to score.

I agree i never noticed that but you're right those guys are all guys that need the ball to create off dribble.

I agree ballhogs usually apply to perimeter players who handle the ball, but some bigs could also qualify. If they take a ton of shots, turn the ball over a lot, and shoot a low percentage ... I'd put them in the same category as ball hogs. In that they're probably getting the ball more than they should. A player like Zach Randolph, for instance.

Zach Randolph, Steve Francis definitely are.

How is LeBron a ballhog?? The man avg. 7apg! Kobe isn't a ballhog because he gives touches to Lamar Odom a lot. Just because his teammates brick shots and don't get him the assists doesn't mean he's a ballhog. When he scored 81pts, he had 2 assists. Okay!!! 2!!!!!!!

AI isn't a ballhog but should pass the ball more and shouldn't necessarily avg. 31pts despite getting like around 8apg. VC is also NOT a ballhog.

Mike James is also DEFINITELY a ballhog. The man isn't that good. Antoine Walker is also a ballhog even though he had a pretty good 3pt%.

Jason Williams wasn't really a ballhog he was just flashy.

Just because a player gets a lot of assists, that doesn't mean he's not a ball hog. "Ball hog" refers a player has the ball in his hands more than he should. Not just that he shoots the ball too much. In theory, it's possible that a player never attempts a shot and is still a ballhog; for instance, if he dribbles the ball for 20 seconds of the shot clock every possession.

Actually i think a ball hog refers to soemone like you said has the ball in his hands alot but who is also hurting his team's play by doing so. Which is why you would never call guys like nash, j-kidd ball hogs even though the rock is in thier hands alot. I believe lebron falls under the same category as those guys so far.

Going after your game doesn't make you a ball hog. Flip is hungry to get the respect he deserves and if he has an open look he is going to take it. If he has an open teammate he will make the pass as well. I still believe that there isn't a guard in this league that can stay in front of him either.

I like the way Flip Saunders has used him in the preseason. If that trait continues in the regular season than Ron will have a break out year.

I don't know much about Flip Murray so I can't say anything. PGs shouldn't be called ballhogs(unless your name is Steve Francis). LeBron James isn't a ballhog because he has passed up game-winners to give to his teammates. He feeds teammates the ball and creates for others. He is a presence there.

Ur such a freakin hypocryte. Kobe gets bashed all day, but you make excuses for AI? Iverson is the biggest ball hog in HISTORY OF THE NBA. Anybody who tries to deny should be ashamed of themselves lol
