<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Forward Luol Deng said he spent a few days of his summer shooting down an erroneous London-based Internet report that he had signed a five-year, 41.6 million-pound contract with the Bulls.

''You should have seen how many phone calls I got,'' said Deng, who has two years left on his current contract. ''It was crazy. Even my dad called and asked why I hadn't told him.''

According to the report, Deng would have made 160,000 pounds per week, which would have been 60,000 pounds more than soccer superstar David Beckham. Deng, a native of Sudan who was raised in England, is in the process of obtaining his British passport and hopes to play for England's national team.

Bulls general manager John Paxson also fielded calls about the story.

''Obviously there was no truth to it,'' said Paxson, who joked: ''I negotiate in dollars, not pounds.'' </div>
