So, I'm not sure how many Guitar Hero fans we have on this board, but nevertheless, the full track listing for Guitar Hero 2 was announced today and I'm excited to play this. In case you've never played Guitar Hero, I'd recommend picking it up. It's a pretty expensive bundle because it comes with a controller specially made for the game, but it's worth it. I bought it back last December and I've played the hell out of it, probably close to 150 hours or so since then. But yea, the Guitar Hero 2 track listing was released, and it looks awesome, probably topping the first ones track listing, which was pretty damn good in it's own right. Too bad there's still no Metallica. Anyways, here's the link to it. Some of the songs that are on it include "The Beast and the Harlot" by Avenged Sevenfold, "Shout at the Devil" by Motley Crue, "Sweet Child O' Mine" by GNR, and "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynrd. And that just scratches the surface, as there is supposed to be at least 55 songs in it. Oh how I can't wait.

Guitar Hero is such a fun game. I know huge hip hop heads that don't like rock music at all, but like this game, that's how good it is to anybody that has never played GH. I highly recommend picking it up.

Word to that Bobcats. I was the first of my friends to buy the game after playing it at Best Buy one day, and everyone that saw it would make fun of it. Than they played it, and the mockery stopped. Everyone that I know that has played the game has loved it. It's easily one of the most addicting games I've ever played, and that says a lot considering I've been playing video games since I was 4, and now I'm 20.

So I have the demo, and for all those interested in getting their hands on a few songs before the game officially releases, pick up the new PSM to get the new demo for it. Has "You Really Got Me", "YYZ", "Strutter", and "Shout at the Devil" on it. I love what I've played so far. "YYZ" is absolutely crazy difficult on expert. The new three finger chords are difficult to get used to once you first see them, but after doing them a few times, you get used to them. So far, I'm in love, and want the next 3 weeks to fly by so I can get the actual game. Until then, I'll have Splinter Cell: Double Agent to hold me over, which I'm picking up after class today I think.

So, I got myself some significant play time with the full game earlier, and to say the least, it blew me away. It is much better and MUCH harder than the first one. Free Bird is easy for about 40%, and then you get to the solo, and, wow. I couldn't beat the song on expert for my life right now, and hard is pretty tough as well, though I did much better on that, getting 72% the way through. The Beast and the Harlot....yea, no chance of me beating that on expert anytime soon either. Some very fun tracks of note would be Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart by STP. Easily one of the funnest songs so far that I've played. It's uptempo and has a fun solo as well. Sweet Child O' Mine was my personal favorite from my play time though. The beginning is complicated once you first see it, but once you get it down, it's a blast to play. The solo is quite complicated and tripped me up as well. And lastly, Misirlou (of Pulp Fiction face) is insane. If you thought the strumming for Bark at the Moon was crazy, wait til you play this on expert. Easily, and when I say easily, I 100% MEAN easily, the fastest song that I played in my hour and a half with the game. If you can't do up and down strumming, there's no way you will EVER beat this song, that's how fast it is. It makes Bark... and Cowboys From Hell look like childs play. Anyways, great, amazing game from my play time. And, here soon, I'll be en route to GameStop to pick up my copy at their midnight opening. Can't wait.

It's like a game for people who can't play guitar but want to act like they can just by pushing buttons on a fake guitar similar to a game controller.

..... I must say I am guilty of spending many a drunken night at my friends apartment playing it though. [IMG]
