This is a tough time to pick these games. I mean it's still so fresh. I think Seattle really needs Shaun Alexander to play this week. But Carolina won't have Foster so maybe it evens out.

    I like....

    Pittsburgh 24 - Denver 14
    Carolina 21 - Seattle 34

Pittsburgh vs. Seattle in Super Bowl XL

The Seahawks and Steelers win their conferences.

My predictions in the playoffs thus far have been brutal, I'm hoping these ones are a little better. I'd really love to see the Seahawks and Steelers play each other in the SB with the Steelers winning it all.

Of the two games - one is a lock. Denver will beat Pittsburgh. I apologize to all Steelers fans in advance, but if you think the Steelers have not gotten any respect, then you have forgotten about Denver, the most forgotten team in the playoffs.

Seattle and Carolina - I gotta go with Carolina. I don't want to (I think Seattle is a much better team), but they are simply resiliant during the playoffs. Seattle is too big of a question mark IMO to bet on at this point. I will not, however, be surprised if I am wrong with this pick.

So, officially - Denver vs. Carolina - Superbowl XL

lol... it's ok man. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion no matter how wrong you, err... I mean, they can be.

Denver is good, but I think Indy was better. You do the math.

You are SO wrong if you think Denver will take Pittsburgh. I predict that Pittsburgh will win by at least 3 touchdowns.

    Pittsburgh > Denver
    Carolina > Seattle

I'm not so sure I would predict a 21 point margin of victory, but I do think Pittsburgh is in a winable game position with Denver. We're still the underdog on the road and I think that's a great advantage for us. Cowher doesn't have to manufacture a sense of urgency. Like last year, we were 15-1, home throughout, I think the team just expected to win.

This year there is no expectation. We're working for it.

I wouldn't bet on a 21 point victory, but I'm thinking it will happen. If the Steelers could fluster Manning, Jake Plummer doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of thinking clearly. And pressure on Jake Plummer = turnovers and various other brain farts. Well, unless Pittsburgh acts like we did for some reason and can't hold onto the football. I'm still shaking my head about the NE/Den game, lol.

Manning has a history of getting flustured in the playoffs. I trust Shanahan to give Plummer the support necessary to keep his QB vertical and relatively mistake free.

Side by side, Denver has been a much more consistent team this year. The reason I like them is their consistency in all aspects of the game, and from game to game.

True, they were consistantly inconsistent on playing bad teams close all season.

Well then, if Pittsburgh is truly bad, then maybe your team will have a chance. [IMG]

Yeppurs, Denver is going to lose their ass in the AFC Championship, mark my words. The Steel Curtain will be re-born because of this game. Utter and total domination I tell you.

Pretty bold gaurantee regardless of the outcome. I mean, c'mon. Is there a such thing as a true lock in the NFL? Especially in the playoffs where the talent level is so high between both teams.

My only worry is that the Steelers have expended more energy over the last month beating up on "superior teams".

Denver is not better than Pittsburgh. (period)
