What an awsome game. Hopefully Dalembert can put together a great season like hes been doing so far. With him blocking shots the way he has, we could be a pretty intimadating team inside. Didnt he have like 13 pts, 16 rbs, and like 5 blks?
Dalembert ended the game with 15 points, 19 boards and 5 blocks. He basically destroyed CSKA in the paint, and made them shoot even more from the outside. Great game from Sammy!
He was a little sloppy and had some goaltends, but overall I was very impressed with Dalembert. Many of his points were open dunks off penetration from his teammates, but he did have a nice little hook shot. Still, let's keep this in perspective: it was an international team the 76ers smacked up. Should be a good confidence builder nonetheless.

Im still not too sure about their perimeter D. They give up so many open looks from deep. But they control the paint so much better than last year.
We definitely need Sam to step up, against competition besides these Euro's. I'm not sure how to judge his performance because the international teams are based on the perimeter on offense anyway. But hopefully Dalembert has truely improved.
I watched part of the game, and both Dalembert-Iggy impressed me the most. The alley-oop from AI to AI was awesome! Hopefully those two can hook up every game for 76er fans once the real season begins. I thought Webber looked out of shape and sloppy on the court. He's lost his shooting touch from the elbows and doinks them hard off the back iron. He used to be automatic at those spots on the court during his time in Sac. This team still has a lot of question marks, but there is potential.
Ya...i pretty much think webbers time for being a major contributer is over. He just looks so old when he plays now. He looks alot weaker too, like he cant even dunk.

Webber isn't a young player anymore, he isn't going to go out there in the preseason and try and put forth the effort he would usually put forward in a game. He will still look slow because he always looks slow these days, but trust me when I say he will still contribute like he was last season.

The guy has a lot of post moves, but he relies too heavily on his jumper. Webber is also a terrific passer for a big man, but I don't think Mo has utilized his skill to its maximum potential. Webber can still be a star player if he plays in the right system, ala Sacramento
I agree, I don't understand why the 76ers don't model their team at least a little bit afther that Sactown team that had so much success a few seasons ago. When you compare the players from that team, to the team we have now, they apear to be similar. But hey I'm not a coach, I'm sure its not as easy as it seems.
Webber is still valuable because of his passing skills. The no-look, turnaround pass to Dalembert was lovely. His shot is just off and he seems a bit out of shape. Still, Webber has too many rare skills for his size which will always make him valuable, IMO. And making $20 million this season you can't trade him. Usually a team can say: "We'll just trade him to the Knicks", but wih them looking to shed cap space (waiving Taylor, not moving Rose), the only way you can trade is if you throw in a valuable young player or draft pick, which I'm sure Philly is opposed to doing. As far as the season goes, the potential is there. Watching them come back from that 22 point deficit and beating Msocow shows what they could be during the season. Should be interesting this season for them...
