I will be doing as many game previews during the regular season as I can, like I did last year. I will post a schedule up like I did last year when the season begins. Until then thread stickied let the preseason begin.

Thabo looks timid out there tonight. I chop that up to nervousness. tyrus looks great tho. Wallce is a beast as expected. Gordon seems to be a little out of control. Deng Looks like hes gonna have the best season of his career. Things are looking good so far in our first game.
    Go Bulls!!!!

That's cool, I just think we should have threads like this when game time comes around. This way we can discuss the current game until the next one and not allow older ones to continue on and on.

Bulls show promise during the first half. I really enjoyed Tyrus Thomas' work ethic only his shot selection was questionable. First night, not to worry naturally. Luol Deng and Andr?s Nocioni really put up nice looking shots. Everything for both of them has been looking sharp and accurate.

Thabo should be played more this second half I would assume as well as Viktor the Russian who has some promise. I wouldn't judge his stay at Portland to pick him out as a flop at all. Ben Wallace doing what he does best and improving that free throw shot a bit. Only 1 for 4, but at least the ball isn't flying over the backboard and he is putting it up the right way. He's just either not using enough strength or too much of it it seems.

I think Ben seems out of control from his ball handling, no? That new ball will have to take some getting used to. Personally I think it sucks having that synthetic material instead of the leather. Great to see you online Michiganave17! See you at the end of the game.

Gilbert Arenas would've nailed that jumper any day of the week, haha. It looked like a well fought game though, which was balanced the whole time.

Damn straight and nice work by the bench warmers too. I enjoyed Viktor Khryapa's work on the floor tonight he played pretty solid and only took a few selfish shots. The biggest problem is that he often played with his head lowered, which shows he isn't as confident as he could be. He should be a good bench player during the season.

Andre Barrett played solid tonight as well not only making the game winning shot, but also moving the ball up the floor consistantly with the only error coming from that nasty looking backcourt violation. I couldn't believe that even happened. Adrian Griffin will surely be out and playing more of a defensive game during the season, but he helped the young and new blood with better passing and good distribution during the closing minutes of the game.

If the Bulls are to keep Khryapa and I'm sure they will, then they should keep Martynas Andriuskevicius since they can easily relate to one another on the floor and on the bench. At first he played very poorly moving the ball like he'd never even played this sport before, but then he made up for it with some decent passing especially the drop to Sweetney that resulted in free throw opportunities. He has a good jump shot, but he needs the courage to take it when they need it.

I'm still not a fan of Malik Allen. I don't know how he'll fit into this Bulls squad with P.J. Brown, Ben Wallace, Michael Sweetney, Tyrus Thomas, and others who are better then he is at his position already on the team. I say they may drop him from the roster before the season starts, but I won't write that for sure. There are many options Scott Skiles can go with now and it all depends on what he views as a good combination of players to make the final cut.

From what I've viewed and studied tonight I definitely have to make out a list of candidates for the regular season roster. Of course I have to add the players who we all know will make the final roster. Though I can't comment on Varem as I believe he did not appear in tonight's game. Would anyone like to discuss what they think of the new blood after tonight's exhibition?

    Twelve man roster

    P.J. Brown
    Luol Deng
    Chris Duhon
    Ben Gordon
    Adrian Griffin
    Kirk Hinrich
    Viktor Khryapa
    Andr?s Nocioni
    Thabo Sefolosha
    Michael Sweetney
    Tyrus Thomas
    Ben Wallace

Fighting for one of the final three spots

    Malik Allen
    Martynas Andriuskevicius *
    Andre Barrett
    Luke Schenscher
    Jeff Varem

    * I think he'll make the cut.

This is only the pre-season and the entire Bulls main squad wasn't on the floor either. I liked the Washington effort, this was a very exciting exhibition game in my opinion.

The new rule is that you basically can't do any type of complaining or use any hand signals (even waving in disgust) or it results in technical foul. Our commentary team predicts 50 Ts for Rasheed Wallace this year.

I see Ben Wallace has improved his FT shooting.

One aspect that the Bulls were lacking last season was FT.

Gordon and Brown didn't have much of an offensive game, and Hinrich wasn't shooting well. Deng and Wallace did pretty nice. Hopefully we come out better next game. The bench did well. Nice win though.

I wouldn't worry at all, this is only pre-season form.
