Breaking News Jim Bates has left the Green Bay Packers as the defensive coordinator.

Wow this is just a big let down.

Someone is going to get one of the best defensive minded coaches in the game.

Was he forced or did he decide to go on his own?

Well he wasn't fired. He and the team "agreed" to part ways.

I wonder how what we don't know though.

Anyways here's a little disturbing news I heard on the radio.. That makes me want to vomit...

Ted Thompson was riding a bike in the gym and Favre's agent went up to him to maybe make some small talk. Apparently Thompson told him to go away and not interupt his workout.

Now I try to workout every day and if someone comes up to talk to me I'll talk to them..

Now this is Brett Favre's agent.. and TT just blows him off.

Chris Havel a close friend of Favre and a writer for the Newspaper here in Green Bay and also hosts a radio show said that he believes Favre is done.. That's the first time I heard him say that..

Welcome to pure Hell Packer fans..

I'm sure Jim Bates left because of not getting the top job. He was under contract, so "mutual decision" means:

Bates: "I want out of my contract, you backstabbing bastard."
TT: "Um...okay. Sure. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.""
    Bates: "Piss off."

Yeah, this doesn't bode well for Favre coming back. This screams "complete rebuilding cycle."

The dark times are here again... *sigh*

The packers defense is gonna suck next year. Jim Bates was the only guy holding that defense togther. I hope Jim Bates gets a head coaching job, he sure deserves it

Well I don't think we'll be as bad as we were in 2004. We won't be 7th in yards probably. We'll be about average. I'm guessing around 16, 17 area. Though it depends on who they hire.

If they hire :gulp: Emmitt Thomas we could be in for a long year.

Right now I'm expecting to be 5-11 at best.

Where ever Mike Sherman ends up that's where Jim Bates will be.

For the next couple of seasons you'll be praying for a 4-12 season. This is a truly the dark days of the Green Bay Packers of the late 60's to early 90's are comming back really soon.

Bates is part of the Parcells coaching ladder, he was part of Belichek's staff in Cleveland.....but, hes a 4-3 guy, and the Belichek guys of late, have been 3-4 guys....I think he makes sence as Mangini's D-Co in NY or his replacement in NE....
