<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kevin Garnett, one of the NBA's elder statesman and by all accounts one of the league's finest gentlemen, is not a fan of the new policy regarding complaints to the referees. "The people that get the techs are emotional people. Do we cross the line sometimes? We walk it. ... If you want to fine the individual person, that's what it is," Kevin Garnett said after Wednesday's game. "To the fact that you can't really speak to the refs, the refs don't want to hear it. That's almost like Communism. That's like Castro."</div> Source
I don't think we should be looking into this too much. He is just upset that he can't talk to referees anymore without being t'd up.

Sure it really isn't a big deal, but it's really pointless and unneccesary.

The nba is strating to try to control their players similar to a dictatorship (Castro) controlling its citizens.
KG makes some weird analogies, like when he discribed his current point in his career to being a woman with a ticking biological clock. He is probebly just trying to say that players are no longer allowed to object to calls on the court without being punished. Personally, I think its funny as hell the way he tries to make his point in these interviews.
Been a while since Ive dropped by... let me drop a little perspective on this situation... maybe along the lines of what Garnett is thinking here. Obviously the NBA wants to crack down on antics and arguing of calls... which is fine. However, a part of being a veteran in the L and getting the better part of the calls is making the refs realize what is happening down in the block. A lot of the times players like Garnett, Duncan, and other low post players get a call on them, argue the call a bit to open the refs eyes to whats happening on the court and later get the better calls in the game.
