Jerome Bettis should thank Ben and Vanderjagt because he saved his ass in that game. Good tackle by Big Ben.

Is it just me or is watching Champ Bailey get lit by the goal line funny? He seemed tired and slowed down and Watson just laid one on him. That's a good tackle. A Tight End on a Cornerback.

Ben Watson knocked him out, i was like whoa theres a patriot player and then bam!!

 

Ben is blazing fast for a TE, but I believe it was he who missed the blitz pickup of the guy that applied the pressure on Brady which in turn forced the INT in the 1st place.

 

Hence the hustle..you know, for job security, lol. If you watch NFL Network, they showed that he was the farthest NE player away from Champ and he came all that distance and way-laid him. That makes me angry at the players that were extremely close to Champ and are faster runners than Ben. Way to get owned by your TE guys.

 

I'm not sure about that. I think I recall Ben ran like a 4.3 at the combine.

 

Yeah Watson ran a nice 40 at the combine which is why NE took him over Ben Troupe that year.
