At the time, though, as far as mainstream media was concerned, it probably would have been more accurate to give that title to LeBron or 'Melo, since they were the two Class of '03 rookies everyone was talking about. Still, one year later we gave Wade more cover love and this teaser: "No one knew Dwyane Wade would be this good this fast. No one but us." Obviously, we knew big things were in store for D-Wade. But really, this big this soon? </div> http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/6049954
Shaquille O'Neal is not even mentioned in the next five section. I think he is still top ten ahead of Gilbert Arenas and Carmelo Anthony.

Pierce, maybe, but you could make an argument either way for all of these guys.

Forwards always get the nod over guards, which is why I consider him better than Paul and Iverson. He's had more success than Pierce and Marion is more of a secondary player than a first option. Then you could make legitimate arguments that he's better than Carmelo, Arenas, Nash, etc. Either way, that list is ranking guards too high and not acknowledging how much more important forwards/centers are.
<div class="quote_poster">Umair15 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Elton Brand and McGrady should be up there. Arenas is high there.</div> who should they be ahead of? Arenas is severeely underrated as well. I think the top ten was almost spot on. I would just switch TD and KG because of TD's injuries. Brnad wasn't 15 either, he was simply in the next 5 in no order after the top 10.

I agree with thier lists...some players might be rearranged but on the whole, it seems about right. I even agree with Wade being placed #1 at this point and time.
This is my top 10 1. Wade 2. Lebron 3. Kobe 4. Nowitzki 5. Nash 6. Duncan 7. Iverson 8. KG 9. Elton Brand 10. Tracy McGrady This is the top 10 players in the world, its not last year. It is top 10 right now. So I think Tmac and Brand deserve a spot ahead of Arenas and Melo.

Sure he once was top 10, but after last year, you can't put him there with a straight face. Arenas has proven that he's elite, and Melo was the second best player on the US team. What has McGrady done lately other than sit on the bench?

I was talking to Carter.. To you: It says top 10 players in the world. I consider McGrady a better player than Arenas. This doesn't really matter about last season. It is the best players in the world right now. And to me, McGrady is better than Arenas.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">This doesn't really matter about last season. Therefore, I wouldn't put TMac on that list. If he can give me an almost-full season in which he actually stays healthy and contributes to his team and leads his team to the playoffs, then he'll be in my top ten again.
