From what I read so far in the forums, I'm real happy for Sasha, he seems like he's stepped up his game. As far as Shammond goes, maybe he's still trying to adjust to the triangle? Hopefully Farmar can play some good D against Nash, this should be an interesting match up.
Damn Farmar sets up Mo Evans, and he bricks. Farmar should have 3 assists right now, make the open shots guys!
Tinkerbell is killing us tonight from the outside. Interesting lineup for the Lakers right now, both Farmar and Smush are in the game.
Farmar owns! Sweet back door cut for a layup, and then forces Nash into comitting an offensive foul. Farmar moves so well in the offense already.

Smush is just getting embarrassed by Nash. The Lakers need to pound the ball inside and stop trying to win from the outside. I think the team has taken 24 three pointers already, which plays right into what Phoenix wants, uptempo basketball.
Smush comesback with two three point shots, he has all 11 points for the Lakers this quarter. Radman is impressing me with his defensive effort tonight. He's rotating for help defense and deflecting a lot of balls.
Smush has just been beastly with the threes all night long. It really goes to show how much the guy worked this off season. I remember last season he used to have trouble shooting beyond the arch. Today, it seems like all the problems are gone. PS - Smush and Shammond look the same on court
Farmar seems to be a steal in the draft and perfect for the triangle. Im loving every minute of it.. I would be interesting to see farmar and smush on the floor at the sametime with Kobe playin the 3 alonside odom and kwame...
Boxscore 21 threepoint attempts and only 14 FT attempts. Whenever the Lakers shoot less from the free throw line it's a losing formula.
<div class="quote_poster">Bahir Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I take it the execution of the Triangle was pretty lousy or non-existent?</div> Actually they ran it fairly well tonight. The only time it lagged was with McKie, Shammond, or Pinnock in the game. The Triangle was perfect when Farmar was in there with Turiaf and Walton. They also gave Bynum some great looks inside the post.
Vladimir hasn't showed me anything yet... Hopefully he'll be getting it going by the time regular season starts...
Here's a really thorough breakdown of the team's performance from last night, courtesy of our friends at LG. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting DancingBarry:</div><div class="quote_post">Reunion with the Suns... With Kobe, Kwame, Mihm and Vujacic out, this allowed the Lakers to give some of their youth quality minutes against top-notch competition. Bynum got the start and swapped out with Turiaf at the center spot, and Farmar and Shammond got to clock some time against the Suns top guards. The result, a 99-91 loss, but the coaches got to learn a little that may come to play when the regular season starts. Both the bigmen gave quality minutes and anchored the defense well, especially considering their relative NBA experience. Shammond started to look more like the Shammond that use to play in the NBA and knocked down a few shots. And, Jordan Farmar put in a feisty game going head-to-head with Steve Nash for some minutes. There's been a lot of talk this offseason about Banks vs. Radmanovic. Neither has found their game yet with their new teams. The two combined for 3 points on 1-12 shooting. Vlad Rad's shooting, of course, is still trying to overcome his hand injury. </div> Read more: http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=30263
Here's a complilation clip from the game someone put on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlH78kYq8JQ
Thanks for the video, I really believe if we weren't playing the Suns, we would have won that game, we look pretty good offensively. Man, I'm so proud of Smush, he played amazing, he's really gonna come around this year. I was a big Smush-hater this year, but you can just tell he has a lot more confidence this year. 5-6 from 3pt range, awesome, that was his biggest flaw last year, he couldn't shoot from the outside, let alone beyond the arc, at ALL. If he can keep shooting that well, and we all know how explosive he is when he goes to the basket, this kid can be really good, and can start taking cats off the dribble and become hard to guard. Great game for Shamu too, 5-5 FG, that's what I'm talking about. If only Vlad would come around a little more offensively. Once Kobe Bryant comes back and joins this team, man we are gonna be scary good IMO
