Should we trade him? Yes or no. I say yes. I'll elaborate why. I just want to see what you guys think.
Yes. He hasnt improved from last year like other guys did like Kyle Korver, Shav, and Andre. He' still the same old Webber. They don't need him to do well this year.
My answer is yes. Webber is old, can't stay healthy, and on the downfall of his career, and has one of the biggest contracts in the league. But it all depends on who we get in return for the trade, and if there is even anyone around the league interested in him.
maybe, webbers still good for a double double, and he has a expiring contract, so keep him if you in a playoff hunt keep him, if not trade him at the trade deadline for a draft pick lol
I would def. trade him, but i just dont see how the sixers could get ANYTHING of value back. plus who would be the starting pf?
My question to you is not can should we trade him, but who in the world would be interested in taking on a 20 million dollar contract? Also what would we get in return, make no mistake about it, despite being a shadow of his former self Chris Webber is still a double double waiting to happen when he is healthy.
I say no for now. I think we should wait for the season, if he does well this year and the team meshes then keep him. If the team doesnt succeed with him while he still puts up solid number, I say trade him around trade deadline time.
<div class="quote_poster">Answer_AI03 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">plus who would be the starting pf?</div> Steven Hunter. We would have Dalembert at center and Hunter at power forward.

what about the bench? alan henderson and shav? i love randolph but our bench would be pretty thin...im not too sold on our rookies yet...

i thought he has the option to opt out. i didnt think it ended this year, and i think hes makin too much $ to want to opt out.

Which he would be crazy not to pick up.

The last time I checked he stayed healthy for all of last season.
You can't just wake up one and decide who to trade. With bad knees, limited production, and a massive contract, I doubt there will be any team willing to take him on. In addition, with the money he's making another overpaid player will have to be involved or multiple players with smaller contracts. The 76ers will have to at least wait for his contract to expire or find a suitor during his last year, which is in '08. I still recommend letting him expire with the 76ers $94 million payroll.
<div class="quote_poster">Avery Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Honestly, I would trade him in a HEART BEAT for Kenny Thomas and Brian Skinner.</div> I wouldn't. Brian Skinner can't play when he gets no playing time. You've got a Brian Skinner in Alan Henderson. Kenny Thomas is alright, but undersized on defense. It makes him almost as a liability as Webber. Not to mention he doesn't add that extra dimension C-Webb does with the passing skills. Kenny Thomas was basically a jump shooter, the same thing Webber does with a tad bit more of consistency. Giving the 76ers Skinner, and Thomas would not improve anything at all.
I want to trade him, but who wants him? Seriously, we should of never done that trade with the Kings in the first place. What did we get? A trip to only the first round of the playoffs?

Nice to see you're named after the one and only Apollo Theatre in Harlem.
Ahh, The Doors were still one of my fav. bands of all time, but that name grew old I guess... BTW- How many years does Webb have left?
