The Chef has 8 pts, 2 reb, 1 blk in 9 mins. Not bad. Wish I could see it.

Three quarters gone and no Ike or Zarko yet. Interesting. I think Taft would help this team quite a bit with his rebounding. I hope he can get back into game health and shape soon.

Warriors FT shooting %age is up this year. I'm more confident in them this year down the stretch if they keep it up.

Of course, JRich hasn't played yet. [IMG]

It's also nice to not worry about Monty making a gaffe late in the game.

So maybe I jinxed the Warriors a little bit with some of my previous comments. However I have some questions after following this game via the Internet.

Why is Ike Diogu not getting off the bench? What is the deal here? I am also curious about why Zarko also is not getting off the bench, though the reason Ike isn't getting any PT is most concerning to me. Before I thought it could have been from Ike not understanding the system, but it seems as if it could be more than that. I don't know. Maybe there will be an article about this in the near future.

This question, ties in with the previous question, but will the Warriors be possibly too one deminsional or maybe better termed this limited to the perimeter as shown in today's game for the beginning of the season? Again I would have liked to have seen the Warriors try to change the pace a little bit with the addition of some big guys, to go a little more half-court and work the ball inside to guys like Ike, POB, or maybe even Zarko - primarly with Ike though.

Do you guys think that possibly McLeod could be cut so the team can keep both Roberson and Barnes? I don't remember McLeod doing much this game. Roberson seems to be a needed reliable-shooter, and Barnes can get some hustle points and change the tempo of the game like that.

Final thoughts: I like the FT%, the number of assists (28), and I like the production of Baron, Mike, and Andris Biedrins(he just needs to keep out of foul trouble). POB did ok too. Lets hope the good play continues with more play from Ike and Richardson in the future.

I'm curious as well as to why Diogu is having trouble learning this offense. He's a basketball smart player.

He didn't even get a triple double, but I see what you're saying. He needs more assists and steals. [IMG]

Hopefully, the guy averages some Allen Iverson type thefts this year. I remember Baron leading the league in steals for one season, but I bet all that reaching in led to guys blowing by him or him picking up cheap fouls.

Wow though. Baron Davis made 10 of 11 free throws. This is unheard of.

Also Dunleavy almost got a triple double like Baron did.

Murphy got elbowed in the nose by Randolph. I think they said he had a broken nose too.

Tortonto's 3-0 too, so I'm not putting too much weight in these games, but definitely a lot of good signs from preseason so far, like Baron's FT shooting and better shot selection, Dunleavy seems confident.

What does that have to do with us? [IMG]

You're too pessimistic to be a Warriors fan custodian. I can see what you're trying to do lol. Implying that preseason means nothing and that the Warriors will lose in the regular season like the Knicks. [IMG]

I want to keep both Roberson and Barnes. Roberson is a shooter that we need, one that actually makes his shots. And Barnes seems like a good backup wing that can crash the boards.

Wow Toronto too? Preseason must be like opposite day.

The worst fears I had about Ike being shut out under Nellie appear to be coming true. He's played less than three minutes out of an available 101 in the last two games, WTF? Not a good sign, at this rate he may be traded by the All-Star break. I'm not going to freak out until we get a few games into the regular season, but I'm not happy about this development. Yes, wins are the most important thing, but if Ike's skills are simply shelved and wasted it's a real shame. [IMG]
