<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> October 18, 2006 -- Ask anyone about Nenad Krstic for this season and they claim double-double averages are within reach. Ask Nenad Krstic and he changes the subject. "I don't want to say, because I say numbers last year and don't do it," insisted Krstic, who recalled how last year he set a goal of nine rebounds a game. "But I didn't, so I don't want to say that any more. Bad luck. I know I must get more rebounds." So while Krstic, who was a revelation of sorts to the league last season when he averaged 13.5 points and 6.4 (or as Krstic says, "not nine") rebounds, declines to establish goals for himself, teammates such as Vince Carter see unlimited potential for the 23-year-old Serb. "He's confident in everything that he's doing: passing the ball, shooting the ball. You can tell he's refreshed and shooting the ball well," said Carter who used words like "definitely" and "easy" when asked if a double-double average, specifically 15 points, 10 rebounds, were within Krstic's talents. "He has an unbelievable stroke, he's going to get shots. He's developing himself into a tenacious rebounder. He has the ability." </div> Source
as long as he plays inside we should be fine, we need someone down there to bang pow low and post up, something we didnt have last year

Once he learns to do the dirty work a bit better and make himself a more effective scorer close to the basket, he'll really break out. He's actually got an advantage now; opponents now know he's a dangerous shooter, so if he improves his ball handling and dribble-drive game, he can exploit their willingness to shade him on the perimeter or outside the paint. He's not all that far away from being one of the best centers in the league.

Krstic should have a good year and I really think he will improve his skills and become a more complete player. When we are in the playoffs, he has to be a factor and not disappear like he didn't last postseason.
