Rockets played awesome. They won 111-97. Novak shots lights out from downtown. He shot 5-6. V-Span played good too. 8 assists with 10 points. 7 rockets in double figures. Rockets shot 82% from freethrows and 47 from 3's. We had 25 assists total. Also, McGrady didnt play.

Looks like the Rockets will gonna shoot the lights out this coming season with a lot of gunners. Everyone who played scored points with 7 players scoring double figures and they won the game without TMac, Battier and Wells playing. Team assists will increase as well as total points per game if we can see this performance every night except for those turnovers though. It's good to see that they were able to minimize the TOs on the 2nd half. VSpan looks good on the running game.

Man, looks like V-Span has gotten a much better understanding of how the Rocket's offense works. I saw him drive in and pass out perfectly outside, like he knew that someone would be there. Thats the stuff that shows you he is settling into the offense well.

And.. 8 assists? Wow, just wow. I want to see him give Rafer a run for the starting job.

VSpan looked a lot more relaxed. I hope this is an ongoing improvement and not just one good game.
Unless injury I doubt VSpan will break the starting lineup this year.

    L.Head looks great.
Skip seems to be very comfortable and his shot looks good.
Novak is lights out and may have taken Padgett's spot.
Snyder's constant intensity and agressiveness is a huge part of the new team.

Wow, 111. If only we could score that many regularly in the regular season.

One question for those who watched the game: was VSpan given the rein to freely run the offense? Was he a tempo changer compared to Skip, or was he still constricted within the offense? By the 111 points, I'd say the latter, but I thought it'd be good if someone who saw it could answer my question.

Vspan actually led the offense. There were occasions where no other ball handler was on the floor except maybe snyder. He opened everyone up and found people. He does rush things a little to much, but he does get the job done. Right now his offense is what gets me. Hes a ginobili type player with less offense as of right now.

Well Spaz seem to be able to penetrate at will and has a knack for finding open players. Only drawback I see is his shooting wich could cause defenders to play off him. As far as tempo....I would say yes, Spaz pushed the ball aggresively and evn when I tough he was out of control he made a good pass.

He did a sick crossover move and had a couple pretty assists. If he keeps playin like that, he might need to start.
