<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Earlier this month, John Hollinger suggested that the Nets could be nothing more than a .500 team this year. His thinking? The Nets lucked out last year with few injuries to their top players. That luck, he suggested, would not continue. Now, with a series of injuries hitting the Nets, Hollinger goes further. The Knick bench, while flawed, is deeper than the Nets [also twice as expensive] and makes them better equipped to handle a spate of injuries.</div> Source
i agree 100% with him about that. the knicks bench is deep ( i really wont be surprised if the knicks make the playoffs). Nets starting line(---> if goes down) Kidd--->Marcus Willaims Carter--->Eddie House Jefferson--->Antoine Wright Collins----> Robinson Krstc---->Robinson ok williams is still an unproven rookie so if kidd goes down it will hurt. all house can really do it shoot and hes pretty streaky, carter goes down it will hurt wright is still unproven so jefferson goes down were hurt robinson can do as much as collins in his spot by our bench would take a major blow if collins got hurt and if krstc gets hurt and robinson starts robinson cant do what krstc does for us and our bench would sitll take a serious blow Knicks Marbury---->Robinson/rose Francis----->Crawford/rose Jeffries----Richardson/rose Frye----Malik rose Curry----Jerome James robinson showed last year he can play and even if he doesnt perform well they have jalen rose who can play the point if marbury goes down crawford is a great player great scorer and would make up for francis being hurt, and they sitll still have rose to back him up jeffries who is already down has richardon to back him up, and richardson has been a starter almost every year so far, and we all know he can play frye goes down it may be a problem but malik rose can play he showed it before when he was on the spurs i dont care what anyone says jerome james is a big body. with a body like his he can be on the floor getting rebounds and posting people up, it would hurt the knicks if curry gets hurt but they will manage with james

there pointless and they dont contribute and it seems like al lyou are diong is adding to you post count.... just like your post above, what was the point of posting that?
Are you guys freaking serious? Keep it out of any thread or I will have to take it to a new level. I really expect one of you to be more mature.
seriously i have been here for like two years and this is the firsttime i ever sayed something to a point where im insulting people so you can tell he is really pissing me off
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheCh0sen0ne238:</div><div class="quote_post">wahts wrong with single line posts...are there laws against them</div> Yes. Back on topic though, I wish I could see a more detailed summary of Hollinger's article. He's not one to simply throw up ideas, without backing them with some sort of statistical proof.
The nets are a better team though and their bench isn't so bad because last year in the playoffs they manged to lose to the heat by 1 point and they only had 2 big man because Robinson got suspended and they even put sg's at pf so their bench isn't bad at all and it just got better.I think the knicks are not going to make a big change because their chemistry is like the worst especially with all those guards that just want to score the ball.
While I myself think the Knicks will have a good year, he can't just go saying this, especially when the Knicks haven't proved a damn thing yet.
The Knicks sign a bunch of people and overpay them to underachieve. The Knicks don't make the playoffs and the Nets do. Hands down!
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Knicks Marbury---->Robinson/rose Francis----->Crawford/rose Jeffries----Richardson/rose Frye----Malik rose Curry----Jerome James</div> Frye - David Lee, not Malik Rose Still, of course most teams will struggle if they lose a main guy, but what does he expect, Kidd, Carter, Krstic and RJ to ALL go down. RJ is not injury prone, he missed games due to a freak accident injury in 04-05. Carter has a lot of tick tack injuries, but really he hasn't missed many games since 03-04, he's not game missing "injury" prone as most people think. Krstic doesn't seem injury prone to me. So it's only Kidd who had major knee surgery before that could possibly miss games, and yes without Kidd it's not the same, but Marcus Williams though a rookie could still do a decent anough job for them to survive, especially having Carter, RJ and Krstic. Also the Nets can survive without Jason Collins, he brings man to man defense, and help defense taking charges, but nothing much in terms of rebounding or offense.
