<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Vecsey's Source: LeBron Will Opt Out In 2012 To Join Knicks New York Post - A high-level source 'swears' LeBron James will opt out of his contract following the 2011-2012 season in order to become a member of the Knicks. This according to Peter Vecsey of the New York Post, in an article about a feud between Isiah Thomas and Greg Anthony. Many analysts and columnists have conjectured that signings by Thomas of players such as Vin Baker and the selections of Rendaldo Balkman and Mardy Collins, all clients of James' agent at the time, are attempts to win favor with the said agent. Both Anthony and Vecsey have speculated on this possibility.</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...to_join_knicks/
2012 is a long time from now, a lot can happen in the next 6 years. A lot of speculation centers around agents making side deals with teams, but in truth there usually is little connection. I remember one hot rumor surrounded Yao going to the Warriors, because Yao's agent owed Mullin a favor for giving one of his players a contract (I forget the player now.) It never happened. Big market teams are always going to be in the running for LeBron's services, it's just the nature of the business.
this is such a ridiculous article. seriously...in 6 years anything can happen. a new player could come into the league thats ten times better then lebron. lebron could break both his ankles, tear his ACL and MCL and never be the same again. who knows? thats the point though...6 years is a long time vescey's not helping his reputation at all with articles like this, thats for sure

What an ingenius plan for Lebron to sign with the Cavs to make a slow transition to NY in 5-6 years lol.
Well, he shaved off his mustache if it matters... Anyway, this might have been the 100th LeBron to New York article. Really nothing new.
Stupid article! I can't believe it. To be predicting where lebron is gonna go in 6 years is just pathetic.
Peter Vecsey hasn't written anything anyone's read or cared about in twenty years. Aside from that, he's a pathological liar and he smells funny too.
Peter Vescey is almost universally panned by basketball fans in the know. He's just not a reliable source at all. He is somewhat of an epitome of what is wrong with the NY media. No ethics, no truth.

Didn't you guys know that this was LeBron's plan all along?? WOW These articles are totally ridiculous and immature in the sense that some stupid ass person might actually believe this nonsense.
