Vecsey's Source: LeBron Will Opt Out To Join Knicks 20th October, 2006 - 9:08 am New York Post - A high-level source 'swears' LeBron James will opt out of his contract following the 2011-2012 season in order to become a member of the Knicks. This according to Peter Vecsey of the New York Post, in an article about a feud between Isiah Thomas and Greg Anthony. RealGM Editor?s Note: 2010-2011 is the final season of LeBron James? four-year extension. Many analysts and columnists have conjectured that signings by Thomas of players such as Vin Baker and the selections of Rendaldo Balkman and Mardy Collins, all clients of James' agent at the time, are attempts to win favor with the said agent. Both Anthony and Vecsey have speculated on this possibility. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/428...to_join_knicks/
Why does this stuff even matter right now, there's 4 years before that happens so he could change his mind and go to some team out of nowhere by then.....
Vescey is pretty unreliable alltogether. I wouldn't blame RealGM for putting it up there, though, but that type of stuff should generally be ignored. I'm sure Hoopshype ignores it.
