It?s hard to fathom now because he?s the most important player on my favorite team, but it wasn?t even two years ago when Vince Carter received an angry letter from an old friend on The Links.

    (December ?04) Dear Vince,

I know you don?t have very much appreciation for me. I?ve always wanted to chill, but you remain at a distance, scoping out the scene from the perimeter. We?ve had our moments, but haven?t recently built the bond that you need to sustain true superstardom in this league. I hope you consider me in your future basketball related endeavors, even though they probably won?t be in the T Dot. The best things in life are free, but you must first make sacrifices.

    Sincerely,

I'm surprised he's placed ahead of Amare.

Amare's injury might have to do with him being lower.

I'm surprised they put him at #19, I expected somewhere in the 20's.

Even though it doesn't apply as much now as it used to, I found this hilarious.

I'm 100% sure you're going to regret that this season.

When has Kidd ever averaged nine rebounds? The most he ever averaged was seven. This past season he averaged seven rebounds a game. I large reason why his rebounding numbers are so good are because of his size being 6'5". Paul on the other hand in his rookie season grabbed five rebounds a game despite standing only six feet tall. The kid is only going to get better there is a reason why he was picked to be point guard for team USA and why so many people are high on him.

    i was estimating..somewhere around 9

what im trying to say is that is that cp3 doesent have nearly as much experiance or versatility of getting different stats which makes him not as good as j-kidd

im 100% sure that kind of made sense

Actually I disagree with you again. If you look at the statistics and the size differential you will see that Paul is just as versatile as Kidd if not more (taken into account his size). He had two triple doubles this season as a rookie, and averaged around 16-6-6 as a rookie. Imagine what he will do when he gets more experience? This a list based on where these players are right now, not what they have accomplished throughout their entire career. With that said I would take Paul over Kidd any day of the week.

Chris Paul, certainly has a great future ahead of him, but right now, I do not think that he is ahead of Kidd overall. Kidd is a better defender, better passer, and by far a better leader. Chris Paul is only a better scorer than Kidd. Thier rebounding is roughly equivalent.

This season, I expect Chris Paul to have more assists and points per game. My expectations are based on Kidd's rookie season and his subsequent sophomore season...see the stats for yourselves. Despite how good Chris Paul will be this season, he still won't outdo Kidd's defense or leadership.

Would you rather have Jason Kidd or Chris Paul assuming that they are both in thier primes?

Considering we havern't seen Paul in his prime that isn't a fair question.
