I think it was either Ray Allen or Vince Carter who probably said that.

I know that I don't have anger problems and I certainly would have done the same as him. I'm not saying he doesn't have a crazy past, but things get blown way out of proportion with him.
As a side note to the "grabbing jerseys, playing physical D", I believe it was Kobe that said Bowen plays dirty defense, and he doesn't play real defense like Artest defends fairly. I could be mixing something up here, but it was something like that.</div>

He wasn't on the street first of all, he was at his job, where your suppose to act professional. You have to act professional, not get pissed and take your anger out on the wrong guy! He didn't even get the right guy when he went up into the stands pissed. As for your side note, real defense is playing tough defense, and anything the ref don't see is perfectly legal IMO. The ref don't see you, then it's perfectly fine. You can't be a baby and complain about people playing tough defense, just play.

OK, if you were at your job and someone threw a cup of beer at you? I'd fight. I'm not going to let him get away with it just to "act professional". I've heard two stories. One that Artest did get the right guy, and one that said he didn't. But I actually think he did, because he ended up having a conversation with the guy he fought and it was the right person. I can't remember his name though.
Disagree with you there about defense. If that was the case, then every player in the NBA could be a lockdown defender. Not true. Tough defense is fair defense, which is staying on front of your man, moving your hands all the time, jabbing at the ball, forcing him to his weaknesses, and of course, being physical. But by being physical I don't mean "anything the ref don't see is perfectly legal IMO". That's not true. Would you say it's legal to punch a player in the balls while the ref isn't looking? To punch someone, to try to inflict injury on someone while the ref isn't looking? That's a ridiculous accesment (sp?) of good, tough defense. That's just dirty. It's not defense.
