This guy avg 20pts, 9Reb, 8Ast, if those numbers arent sick enough to deserve recognition, how about the fact that he stands at 6"3 weighs 170. His name is Fat Lever, Ive never heard his name before but hes one of the league leaders in Triple Doubles.

How is this possible, how come hes not on any of my legends in the making books from the 90's. Has anyone ever seen him play or atleast heard of him. This guy mustve been sick to watch

Yeah, I've read about him before. He played for the Nugges in the mid-80's. Great player. His name's Lafayette, btw. Fat was a nickname his little bro' gave him because he couldn't pronounce his real name.

    Welcome to JBB.

The most impressive numbers there are his rebounding. From 1987 to 1990, his rebounding-rate was 12.5, 11.4, 12.4, and 13.6. That's ridiculous for a 6'3 PG. His turnover-rate in those years were also very low for a PG. Perhaps the combination of the blistering pace at which the Nuggets played, and the lack of strong rebounding from the forwards and the other guard allowed him to collect a ton of boards.

Jason Kidd, by comparison, has had his highest rebounding-rate seasons the last two years: 12.1 and 11.4.

We probably haven't heard much about him because he was putting up those numbers during the peak years (statistically) of two far better guards ... Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan.

I loved watching Michael Adams and Fat Lever when I was younger. Fat Lever used to come up with the craziest angles off the glass to score points. The only current player who has some of the same creativity is Sam Cassell.

Wow those are indeed sick stats. I am surprised I have never ever heard of him, but then again I was like 5 when he waas in his prime. Still someone with those numbers should still get some love even if MJ and Jordan were around.

Lever is probably second only to Oscar and ahead of Kidd as far as multi-purpose lead guards. That guy was just plain fun to watch. I think I've got as many video clips of Lever as anyone in NBA history. [IMG]

Me.. Being a Nuggets fan of course I am a huge fan. He lead our team in rebounding numerous times as a point guard. He is often overlooked.

I would like to see him get the respect he deserves.
