In Wednesday's preseason loss at Boston, Vince Carter slid over from shooting guard to give Kidd a rest. He did the same in Friday's 102-92 win over the 76ers at Continental Arena. Carter will continue to do that until Marcus Williams comes back, and perhaps even after. "It's always something I wanted to do," said Carter. "I felt comfortable with it. Knowing the offense and being around it a little bit really helps." </div> Source

<div class="quote_poster">Best Kept Secret Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">What happened to Jay Williams?</div> He's still playing for us but at the end, I don't think he will make the team. The Nets are just letting him show off his skills for other teams.

waht problems is jeff mccinis having? injuries? drug-related..if so i hope not.. we could really use him. wasnt he out last year too though?
If you had been following, he was being counter-productive to the team (taking other players on mid-night excapades, etc) when he was with the team last year. Last year he got injured after ten games, and this year he was told not to come to training camp for the reason I noted above.
well obviously i wasnt following..but thats terrible..he is kinda like terrel owens distraction-wise..its a shame that players like him only care about money and dont care to help the team

Vince Carter at point? Hmmm... On one hand he handles the ball as much (or more) as Kidd does, he might as well be on that position. This could be good for Vince. It will make him learn more about team play. On the other hand though, it could be cause for trouble. Carter might end up taking more shots than he already is taking. Hopefully it won't com to that.
^Dude, Vince doesn't shoot as much as you think. Kobe, Wade, Lebron, T-Mac, and Pierce all shoot way more.
