I don't quite agree that it is that much stronger than last year. The Nets' bench has not been really solid aside from Marcus Williams. One thing is different though, the bench can (and hopefully will) improve by leaps and bounds over the course of the season.

Cliff can still play, I'm sure he'll have a bigger impact than Ilic. Mikki Moore will also log some minutes. Not great backup bigs, but Cliff, Moore and Ilic (who might not play much or be a effective) should do a better job than backup bigs of years past.

I don't know, you guys got way more than last year. Not only the ones P.A.P. named but Marcus Williams and Eddie House as well. You guys aren't exactly deep, but it's more then manageable.

If there are any injuries to a starter or a bench player i think the nets will really feel it.

am i the only one who thinks that the house signing is pointless. i know that wright and adams havent proven anything but watching pre season they can play and should play. and we have williams at the point and even if he doesnt work it looks like vince would move to the point

We brought him as instant offense. We didn't bring him in to be another back PG but in fact a shooter. He is the best shooter on our bench.

Adams and Wright are young we need a guy like house to be like their leader, plus he has a nice shot, and can be useful for many situations.

Yea but Adams isn't a shooter like House. He is highflyer but if we need a 3 pointer, then he wouldn't provide it. We brought him in as a shooter, and the Nets expect him to give us what he did in Phoenix.

As for Wright, the Nets weren't planning to just hand him the backup job. They didn't know he would come this far, and in fact it's only the preseason. We will have to see what he does during the regular season.

Before the injury to House, Adams and Wright were pretty much fighting to play the backup 3. House would play the backup 2.

thats the thing why i didnt really want house, all he does is shoot, he doesnt play much defense, doesnt drive in much, things that adams and wright do, but i understand where you are coming from, since we dont really have that great of a jump shooter

I have to agree on that, and I really don't want want him to jack up shots like he did in Phoenix. Of course Coach Frank is giving him the green light and I hope it isn't a mistake.

He is basically a shooter who is pretty streaky. If he gets hot then we are lucky, and if he's cold it's gonna be a problem.

i think if he starts to get cold, adams and wright will come in and he will go with a defensive lineup.

    It's very possible.

I am really interested to see how Wright plays during the regular season. Will he continue to have a big impact or will it all die down? He will get the minutes if he plays like he has.
