Those would be on mine as well, you seem like a movie buff. Some others movies I suggest you check out:

    - Apocalypse Now
    - City Of God (VERY good movie)
    - Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
    - Lawrence Of Arabia (Oh, I wish I could this on 70mm)
    - Chinatown
    - Requiem for a Dream
    - Taxi Driver</div>

Apocalypse Now is a great movie. Been waiting for awhile now to pick it up, I'll probably get it with some gift cards.

I've heard great things about City of God, I really need to check this out.

Dr. Strangelove....was a good movie, I've seen it twice.

I haven't seen Lawrence of Arabia, I'll check that out.

I've heard great things about the last three, also. I almost picked up Taxi Driver today, I'm a huge on Robert De Niro, great actor.

I saw Lucky Number Slevin 2 or so weeks ago. I didn't really like Morgan Freeman's character that much (or I felt he overracted on some parts) but I thought Josh Hartnett did a great job. Although the movie became kind of hard to follow at some points, it was a pretty good spending of 2 hours or whatever the length of the movie was.

If you like those plot-twist type movies, Along Came A Spider is an excellent movie as well.

ATL was a surprisingly good movie. I saw Final Destination 3 recently as well. Cheap thrills for Halloween.

EDIT: If you like documentaries Grizzly Man and Murderball are really good.

Fight Club is a good movie, but I think a lot of people overrate it.

I agree - the whole "they're really the same person!" twist was so obvious and kind of a cop-out.

-Troy (for entertainment purposes) - I thought Erica Bana portrayed Hector perfectly, he was bad ass.
-Black Hawk Down - Once again, Eric Bana's character was great; surprisingly good movie.
-Band of Brothers - great mini-series
-Lord of War - I love Nicolas Cage's character, and I'm not a big Cage fan
    - Donnie Brasco
    -Ronin
-Batman Begins - This movie stayed true to the comic books, and I love Batman
-Casino - I can't believe I left this movie off my lists

    Disney Movies
    -Lion King
    -Aladdin

BTW, Lion King on Broadway was f'n amazing. Truley a must see.

I agree, it ruined the movie for me. My friend raved and raved and raved and raved and raved about Fight Club, so I picked it up cuz it was on sale for $9.99. I thought it was such a waste of money. Good movie, but not up to the standards I expected.

Shinobi, it's kind of a love story. Only in japanese, but I love the action sequences and all the Shinobi's abilities.

Didn't like Eyes Wide Shut huh? I'm a huge Kubrick fan too... Still haven't seen Paths of Glory yet though, read some great reviews on it.

It's cool how you mentioned Eraserhead. I just bought it recently but haven't gotten around to watching it cuz ppl have been telling me it maybe a little too abstract for my liking. But since it seems like your tastes are similar to mine, I think I may finally check it out now....

Good that you mentioned Why We Fight too. It's a must for all americans who aren't familiar with the military-industrial complex.

Since everyone's listing some movies I guess I should list some too. Here's some recent ones I've watched that I highly recommend:

    - Thank You For Smoking
    - The Descent
    - Half Nelson
    - Old Boy (Korean flick)
    - Before Sunrise & Before Sunset (don't usually like chick flicks, but these two are brilliant imo)
    - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Eraserhead is a great favorite. I'm planning to be him for a Halloween party on Monday. As for Eyes Wide Shut, I think Cruise ruined it. He's never been a favorite of mine, aside from Magnolia, all his other films I can't stand. I like getting lost in an actor, with him, he's just too big of a name for me to shy away and say, "well this is a good character." As for Paths of Glory, I liked it but not one of his stronger works definitely. It's based on a book that's very similiar to All Quiet on the Western Front, so that's where the lines crossed as that is one of my favorite books. I have too many limitations and baracades when selecting something noteworthy. I'm picky.

I've been meaning to see Half Nelson, I hear Gosling is brilliant in it. Of course, Old Boy (a classic). I gotta rent that one again.
