<div class="quote_poster">Dr. J. Naismith Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I think people's expectations of Parker are not what we're likely to see from him here in Toronto. I'm expecting more of a defensive presence rather than an offensive one. Sure he'll have some good offensive numbers from time to time, but where I think he'll be more valuable and where we'll see him more consistant on this team is his ability to play some stand-up defence ala Mo Pete. Maybe even better than Mo. JMO though!</div>

Maybe my expectations were too high. I just thought that he would have taken an opportunity last night to to step up with all our guys out. Hopefully, he will be able to do that in the regular season. I would like to see him score a bit more. MoPete and Bosh are the only guys with decent offensive capabilties in the starting lineup and we will likely need some points from him. Rasho isn't going to score much at all and Ford's shot will be pretty inconsistent.

His defense has been pretty solid, his basketball iq seems high and he hasn't done anything to hurt the team. He's just really passive right now on offense and sometimes you don't even notice him on the court.

It's either that or Sam Mitchell is misusing him. I can't say anything right now because I haven't watched a single raptor game yet.

lol I read the $12 mil, and I was like what!! noooooooooooo

Then saw over 4 years and then realised if Jones plays decently that is a pretty sweet deal.

Nah, its not Sam although many would love to continue making Sam our scapegoat. Parker's still tentative and getting confortable with the transition. I say he'll struggle for the first 15 or so games, but find his stroke and his comfort zone a quarter way through our season. JMO
