I'm sure the Spurs will do better than everyone but besides that............ What about this then?? It's Orlando VS Boston VS Toronto to see who has the better record. I guarantee that Orlando will at LEAST make the playoffs. Will Boston and Toronto?? HAHAHA Well maybe Boston but Toronto HAHAHAHA Look at the starting lineups: Orlando PG:Nelson SG:Hill SF:Turkoglu PF:Battie C:Howard Toronto: I dont know exactly Boston: I don't know exactly Anyways, someone please fill those in and get back to me. Thanks.
Boston: As of right now, C Theo Ratliff PF Ryan Gomes SF Paul Pierce SG Wally Sczerbiak PG Rajon Rondo Not terrific, but capable of winning some games.

Alright, the Magic will stay out of this bet just so it doesn't get confusing. However, there is no doubt in my mind that they will have a better season than these two teams (barring injury). And Chutney, we think Raptors' fans are annoying too.

But having read some Raps contributions of late, I'm not too worried about how this will end up. Anyone notice how much faith they're placing in a guy named GarbageHoser? The irony just drips off of it.
Actually, my faith is on the team as a whole, not just the Porn Player. It's hilarious the degree that you're underestimating the Raptors, considering that our team that has added many new and improved peices. You realize your team only won like 33 games last year right? (yeah the Raptors only won 27, but that's not my point) It's funny that you put the Raptors down like I'm betting against the NBA champions or something. Our team didn't make the playoffs, but neither did yours. And looking ahead to this season, I see your team either sucking more or sucking just the same as you did last year. Good luck winning games while your starting point guard is out in clubs getting his chain snatched and calling others to shoot up rappers for him.

Well, that did have that one season. And let's not also forget, all these "improvements" are actually not at all improvements until the players prove themselves. Which goes for my team too. But then again, I didn't say we'd improve. We could win 33 games again and outperform the Raps, that doesn't concern me. <div class="quote_poster">Junoon Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">And looking ahead to this season, I see your team either sucking more or sucking just the same as you did last year. Let's remember that he's innocent until proven guilty. But nevermind all that.
Alright, since the Magic are officially out of the bet, I will reside with the Celtics. No offense to you Raptor fans but I just believe that Boston has a better chance of winning more games than Toronto does.

Magic > Raptors & Celtics combined. BUT, since Magic aren't in on this bet, I take the Celtics side. Euros never fall into the NBA as good as say a College player would. The addition of Fred Jones and T.J. Ford is an improvement, but good players don't gaurantee wins. Just look at the Knicks. The Raptors are a good team, don't get me wrong, but I doubt this season that they are going to step up. Overall Celtics feel more solid, so I'll side with them.

Picking Andrea as the 1st overall is very risky seeing as some Euro PFs never adjust to the torture of the NBA. I thought they were going to take Morrison or even Gay. I like the Celtics bench and they have an overall better starting 5. T.J. Ford really was a decent pickup, but I think Charlie V. would have done more for u guys. The Celtics and Raptors are prob. not gonna make the playoffs, but the Celtics have a better chance and go be on their way.
Hey I don't post here much, but I'd love to get in on this if I can. Oh yeah, and I'm siding with the Celts to have a better record. Obviously.
We should list everybody who's in the bet and what side they're on. And btw, picking Bargnani is no more riskier than choosing a high school prospect was in years past. He's already more polished that KG was, when he came into the League, and he's had the benefit of playing against tougher competition than any college player. I'm not saying he's definitely going to be a star, but this isn't like picking Maciej Lampe.

That'd be great, but I don't think he will be able to establish himself as the player he's supposed to be till his second or 3rd season. However, I expect him to improve every year as he adjusts more and more to this league. He has played with grown men and tough competitions and tougher pressure in the Euro league. I think more then anything, it's his mental approach that will be the most difficult part. The transition from Euro to the NBA is tough for bigs, be it Dirk or Darko, but eventually Andrea will make his prescence felt. At this point, I just want him to contribute as much as he can. A run-and-gun system should make it more helpful to make use of his offensive capabilities. At this point and time, he's more of a liability on defense (based on pre-season games) but hopefully that improves as well. My only concern about this year for the Raptors (Bargnani is not a concern to me) is Chris Bosh's injury of plantar plantar fasciitis. We've seen it slow down Tim Duncan for a whole season and it'll be disappointing if it affects Bosh as much as it did Duncan. Once again, if the two stars of the team miss more then 20 games each, the bet is off. I am confident in the Raptors, but obviously my confidence wavers when Chris Bosh is going to be harrowed by a foot injury throughout the whole season. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Junoon, I think he was saying he doesn't know your lineups because they are nobodies.</div> Oh, I just assumed it was because he didn't know since he has no basketball knowledge whatsoever.
