I forget, did the Pacers do anything last year? If the Raptors do as well as the Pacers did last year (41 wins), I'll eat my hat. As for a top 5 PF, just like was mentioned, how about a top 5 2? Pierce is a far more consistent player, and has run this team for years, as opposed to complaining about the awful team he plays for year in and year out. Yes, he does play for an awful team, but he's the consummate professional, so he doesn't make a stink about it. As for the new rule changes, I can't wait to see how many technicals Bosh racks up in the first week. <div class="quote_poster">hustler Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Fred Jones>Celtics.</div> Fred Jones is rubbish. I can't believe you guys are excited because you have a former dunk champ. That'd be like me getting excited that we traded for Harold Miner. If you look at their respective career numbers, they're almost identical. Awesome!

Dudes I have to be in on this. Count me in for the Raptors if there is a spot open. I just can't wait to see how many techs Doc gets.

^ Yes, based on wins. Tonight can't come soon enough. I'm tired of circular arguments about who's better. It's time for the teams to show who is.

<div class="quote_poster">Junoon Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Celtics suck. lol I love pissing off these Celtics fans </div> We got nothing to be pissed off about, look at the fans these criticisms are coming from. They literally have nothing to hang their hat on. The last time you guys had any team to speak of, the Celtics were still better, so what do I have to worry about? So far, you've had three seasons in your existence where you better than the Celtics, and one of them was the year we finished with 16 wins, and you guys finished with 19. Not what I would call heartbreaking. But yes, wins are the only measure of this bet. Overall record is all we will count. Well, I would say these starts are exactly what I would have expected. And that is, nothing much. Neither team played all that well, but at least we made a game of it, despite being down 18 in the first half. Nevertheless, rusty showings from both teams, at least we can expect the level of play to go up soon.
Sam Mitchell vs. Doc Rivers. That's what this bet's going to boil down to, despite the offseason additions of both teams. Who will be less of a liability?
Doc Rivers can beat Mitchell one-on-one. LOL Seriously, Raptors suck and Celtics aren't that much better but still BETTER than Toronto.

And do you ever think about backing up your random assertions?
Let's at least keep it civil there CLos. If you have something you want to assert, just give us some reasons. I personally don't think Doc or Sam Mitchell is all that great of a coach, but I would be hard pressed to think of which is better than the other. I no longer have any faith in Doc (not that I have for a while), but I've seen the way Sam runs a game too, and I'm not overly impressed. Either way, these guys will be long gone before these teams are legitimately competitive again. I think we can all agree that no matter who wins this bet, neither team is going to be what could be called competitive.

Well, like I said I'm only joking between the 2 teams but overall Boston has more talent than Toronto. I think Sebastian Telfair will do good for them, Paul Pierce will do his usual thing, and I think Theo Ratliff will help Kendrick Perkins become a better defensive player.
This useless bantering is getting pretty funny... but like Squish said, which ever team gets more wins sure isnt going to be competing for a championship this year.

He's hungry, lean, seemingly smart on the court, and very long and athletic. And his instincts are phenomenal. With any luck, Bassey will improve upon his NBA experience so far, and I hope his knee doesn't start bothering him.
