<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If the look on Smush Parker’s face is any indication, the players are ready for different authority in the form of Phil Jackson's return. When Parker drew his third foul in this game in San Diego and Kurt Rambis removed him from the game in the second quarter, Parker walked to the bench glaring at Rambis, who did not meet the eye contact.

Parker got fired up with referee Marc Davis with 1:30 left in the third quarter after a foul was called on Parker. The NBA is cracking down on backtalk toward referees this season, and Parker has been slow to adjust in exhibition games. Although Davis didn't act upon Parker’s initial comment -- “You’ve gotta be (kidding) me” – Parker still drew a technical foul.

Parker's fellow New York native, Lamar Odom, is also trying to reform himself in that sense with the refs. But he drew a technical foul with 3:46 left for disagreeing with a call, too.

smush has an evil eye eh? I wonder if he has the balls to do it to PJAX... Rambis probrably would have said something if he could see SMUSH's eyes. His bottle glass eyelenses were probrably getting in the way! LMAO

I hate how the refs are cracking down now when the players even talk to them.
