PJax & Kobe to Debut on Thursday! <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With regard to Jackson's full return, he's tentatively expected to coach the exhibition finale Thursday night in Anaheim -- which will probably also mark Kobe Bryant's first game. About Jackson, Rambis said: "He has been coming to practice. He has been fully participating in our practice plans and watching videotape and discussions and going out on the floor and putting the players through sequences. So it?s whenever he feels he?s physically ready."</div> Source
Good to hear. The Lakers have played pretty well this preseason without Kobe, so I can't wait to see how they play when #24 finally gets on the court with them.
i've been looking forward to seeing #24 jersey on the court. Its going to take time to get adjusted to it.. Im so used to #8
Yeaaaaaaahhh. I can't wait for this game. We are playing fairly well and the addition of Kobe and Phil is only going to make us better. This team has alot of potential, this season is going to be the beginning of something special.
I sure hope your right Shape cause SI.com (which is full of sh*t I know) just wrote an article mentioning that Kobe's healing process is 3 weeks past what they said it would be: 15 compared to 8-12. I know they're just trying to make a story but I'm still a little worried if Kobe's gonna be alright
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Of the seven players that sat out Sunday's exhibition game, Kobe Bryant has not been through a full practice since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in mid-July and Chris Mihm has been sidelined since arthroscopic ankle surgery two weeks after Bryant's procedure. Bryant is closer to returning than Mihm, but he probably won't play Thursday against Denver in the team's final exhibition, a team official said Monday. Bryant is still expected to play in the season opener Tuesday against Phoenix. Mihm could be out another three to four weeks. "Kobe said to me that his knee feels 10 times better than it did at the end of last season," Vitti said. "But he does have some discomfort. We don't want to keep pushing him into pain. We want to get it right now so that we're not behind the curve. We want to get ahead of the health curve." Bryant does not feel pain when he runs in a straight line. His right knee, however, feels "ginger," to borrow Bryant's description, when he pushes off his right leg. "Straight ahead, he's OK," Vitti said. "On one leg, if he gets into a lunge position, it's still weak. We'll get him there, though."</div> Source Latest Kobe injury update. Now they're saying he probably won't play Thursday, but will be available for the home opener. Mihm could be out another month, that's really bad news. It's going to take him at least another month to be in game shape. Andrew Bynum better be ready for some heavy minutes!
