..... If he was mad that Watson finished up games then he would want to start in Orlando. That's not going to happen, especially with Arroyo and Nelson ahead of him. I doubt we'll see this trade going down.
The writer is not suggesting a trade, this article just suggests that both Diener and Ridnour are available and on the market. EDIT: I edited out the end of the article since it really had nothing to do with Travis. Sorry for the confusion.

Anyways, I think we should try to package both Diener and Garrity for someone. Both of these guys have had productive preseasons and we would finally be able to dump Garitty's contract. Travis and Pat just don't fit in with this team and I say we trade them away while we still can. Maybe a two for one deal and then resign Kasib Powell who has been tearing up in the preseason.
yeah i just read that the rockets are 1 of 2 teams interested in diener and the magic have had talks with the rockets about moving diener for mutombo...the only thing holding up this trade is that the rockets want to have insurance for yao (if he goes down)...id do it...that would give us 28 feet of shotblocking

That's sick because it gives us a reliable backup big man and provides even more interior defense. Dwight, Darko, Battie, and Mutumbo would be able to keep anyone out of the paint. Can you post a link or source to this d-money? EDIT: I just found the article: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">HOOPSWORLD has learned that the Orlando Magic have had a discussion with the Houston Rockets regarding former Marquette point guard Travis Diener. The word is that the Rockets are one of the two teams currently showing interest in Diener, who is not likely to land a spot in Orlando’s rotation despite some solid play in preseason. ... There is a catch, of course. The Magic are looking for a big man in return if they are going to deal Diener, and the name that has reportedly come up in discussions with the Rockets is Dikembe Mutombo. For that reason alone it is hard to see the Rockets making this move. They’re already playing small ball at the four. If Yao Ming goes down with an injury – heaven forbid – the team would have no good options at the five. If they were to deal Mutombo for Diener they would almost certainly have to sign a free agent center as insurance. Maybe someone like Kelvin Cato, who is currently unsigned and might be worth the vet’s minimum.</div> Source

We need to resign Garrity and Diener to 7yr-140milion dollar contracts. LOL Seriously though, would Houston take Diener AND Garrity? I would like Dikembe because that man is a beast and has great defense. Let's do it. The Rockets can just resign Cato.
The problem with Mutombo, is he can retire if he doesn't like the situation he's in. I think the Magic are selling themselves short if they do this deal. The Magic could probably get a better deal from the Heat for Diener. He played college ball with Wade, and he's a lot better than any of the scrubs trying to make the teams roster as 3rd string PG. I think Diener for Doleac would be a solid trade. Doleac has an expiring contract and he won't do anything to hurt your team when he's on the court.
I would NOT want Doleac. The man has no defense whatsoever and not to be racist we don't need another white guy who has no skill.

What does Doleac's skin color have to do with his production on the court. If he were black would he be any better?

It's because the man isn't good offensively or defensively!

When someone's skin color gets brought into the mix, people get offended and it just turns into a messy situation.
