<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bostjan Nachbar would like to erase last season from his memory and the record books. He was a starter for the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets before a sprained right knee forced him to miss 21 games and lose his starting spot. It didn't get any better after a trade to the Nets last February, where he barely left the bench. The 26-year-old forward from Slovenia, nicknamed "Boki," never felt like he was a part of the team and is out to prove he belongs. "I look at last season as a season that I took off. I started well, but with the injury and trade and not playing here last year, I think it was enough time for my body to get rest," Nachbar said. "So this year I don't think about any rest. "I want to be a guy that plays on this team, not just that is on this team. I want to be in this rotation. It's a big season ahead of us. I want to be the guy that helps us go a long way this year." At 6-9, Nachbar can play either forward position and has earned the praise of his coaches for his work during the preseason. In three preseason games, he is averaging 13.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in 26.7 minutes to go with a .462 percentage on 3-pointers. Whatever confidence he lost sitting is clearly back. He is burying deep jumpers, driving to the basket, running out on the break and grabbing defensive rebounds. Could this be the same guy who was considered just another "European shooter" when he was drafted by the Rockets (15th overall) in 2002? </div> Source
Next to Wright he has been playing surprisingly well in the preseason. I have said this often before and I will say it again, it won't matter how he played during the preseason if he becomes a non-factor during the regular season and playoffs.
