In the second quarter, Millsap even showed off his versatility around the basket, taking a shovel pass from Collins and curling under the basket to spin a reverse layup off the glass. Still, those aren't the skills that impress Sloan the most. "He doesn't have to have the ball to play all the time," the coach said. "Some guys need to have the ball constantly if they're going to play." Second half, same story: Boozer picked up a couple more fouls in his seven-minute stint in the third quarter, and again Sloan chose Millsap to take his place. This time, the rookie had some problems defensively, falling for Randolph's moves inside and picking up three fouls in just four minutes. Randolph went to the free-throw line 10 times in the quarter, making nine of the free throws. In all, Millsap played 17 1/2 minutes on the night, scoring nine points on 3-for-4 shooting. He added four rebounds, including two offensively. </div> Source
Millsap has been impressive in preseason, and has drawn praise from Sloan. He is starting to look like a steal. He's rebounding and scoring well in limited minutes, however in some games he has picked up fouls quickly. If Boozer gets an injury during the regular season he could see some big minutes.
He impressed us in preseason. He was in war.He always fighting. He is a rebounding player. And Sloan loves him so much.We can see him on court in 20-25 minutes.
