Just heard Sasha might start tonight. Also Kobe won't make the trip to face Golden State, and neither will PJax.

Our defense is getting murdered tonight. The rotations aren't crips enough and Phoenix is moving the ball and finding the open man. Bynum looked great to start off the game, but twisted his ankle and went to the bench. Lamar Odom struggled early, but put together a nice string of baskets. Great to see Kobe on the sidelines motivating Odom and keeping him focused. Starting Vujacic tonight was a mistake. Expecting him to start isn't realistic, Sasha is just a 10-12 minutes bench player still. He missed wide open looks, had foolish turnovers and lost Raja Bell on every Phoenix possession. Evans better start tomorrow night, at least he can help rebound. Lakers need to work on slowing this game down. Farmar has just entered the game!
Haven't really been focused on the game, but is Bynum okay? We cannot afford another injury on our front court.
Lakers fought back and go into halftime only down by 5. Bynum looks great out there, and I'm blown away by his passing. Bynum officially trucked Steve Nash tonight!
My god, our FT shooting has been disgusting. We've missed at least a half dozen since I tuned in at the beginning of the 2nd quarter. If we could make half or two-thirds of those, we'd probably be tied or down by just a couple. Oh well, I'm happy to be where we are, considering how far we were down.
Sasha is 0-4 and Mo Evans is 4-5 tonight. We're hurting ourselves at the free throw line. 1. We're not getting there enough. 2. When we get there we miss them 9/16 in the 1st half for only 56.2% Poor free throw shooting plagued us in preseason and it's carried over into the regular season. Looking forward to the second half.
<div class="quote_poster">Brian Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Anyone else screaming BENCH SMUSH? He has played horribly thus far</div> I think he's doing a decent job, but missing those FTs pissed me off. Parker is doing a nice job of distributing and attacking the paint. He also deflected a few passes and has defended Nash as well as you could expect. The Lakers just need to control tempo in the 2nd half and not get caught up in Phoenix pace. Early on they tried to run with Phoenix and found themselves down by 20. If we can continue pounding the ball inside to Bynum and Odom, we have a chance to pull off an upset.
Lakers have tied it up. Nash has five straight and Bynum just made a nice hook shot. Looking good so far. We also continue to get the boards.
Odom blows a layup and a chance to get the lead. Smush FINALLY makes a pair, Lakers WINNING 65-63. And now the Suns make a three and go back up.
Nice work by Bynum to get position and get that offensive board after missing the intial layup. Lakers down by 1. Suns make FTs, Lakers back down by 4. Bad crosscourt pass by Odom, but he redeems himself with the steal and the and one on the other end.
Loving what I'm seeing from Odom tonight. He's well on his way to a huge game, with 20/7 already. He's played great so far. And Nash with the floater on the other end to put the lead back to 73-70. Walton makes the nice layup, lead down to one again. Lakers are pounding the ball in the paint tonight. Walton has done a nice job inside and Odom and Bynum have done a great job as well. And Lakers back up by one, and another steal for hte Lakers. Mo Evans with the layup, now up by 3. Suns lookin' awful right now.
