Petro is still there Clos, but Collison played a lot better during the preseason than Wilcox, granted it's just preseason and doesn't mean anything, but I think he'll be given the chance if Wilcox doesn't deliver, which he has yet to do. I'm betting on Collison breaking out before Wilcox.

Also, I like your list Moo and I don't mean to criticize, but I just don't see Darko having a breakthrough year. However, I think Marvin Williams is going to have a great year once he gets back from injury. I still believe that the Hawks picked the right player when they took him last year in the draft.

With Darko, I think he's going to play around the way he did at the end of last year, if not better. I think what we saw last year was a glimpse of things to come. I think he's going to be a teriffic shot blocker in this league, as well as a great offensive player. He's already got a a solid outside shot and should probably be even better in the post this year. If he's given the minutes that he deserves, I don't see any reason why he can't get 12/8/2 this year.

....because he has 12-13 RPG Dwight Howard playing on his team.

Yeah two guys that can get over 10rpg are a rare find. I mean Elton Brand and Kaman didn't even get over 10rpg. I mean Elton Brand did, but Kaman got 9.6

trenton hassell, I think he will finally get the shots to average close to 13-15 a game. Then his amazing defense might be showcased for the rest of the world.

Here is the list. It is extensive, but we will see some real talent emerge this season. In no particular order:
    Dwight Howard
    Shaun Livingston
    Jameer Nelson
    Sebastian Telfair
    Josh Smith
    Samuel Dalembert
    Marvin Williams
    Raymond Felton
    Andrew Bynum
    Al Jefferson
    Gerald Green
    Rookies to have breakout years:
    Adam Morisson
    Rudy Gay
    Brandon Roy
    Tyrus Thomas

There will be some big improvers this year but these guys will have above and beyond just a good solid season.

Andre Iguodala. Chris Webber's role should be reduced offensively when it comes to how many shots he should get. In the first game Andre Iguodala looked great, in the second game he played ok, but overall I think Dre can average 15-18 ppg with 5 or 6 rebounds a game, with 2 or 3 assists.

I think the break-out players are Josh Smith and Dwight Howard this season .

Smith has improved his shooting lately , and he has power in the paint-area .

And Dwight has very young and able team around him , i guess they will get to the Platoffs this season .

John Hollinger Breakout Team on ESPN Insider:

    Starting Five
    PG - Jameer Nelson
    SG - Luol Deng
    SF - Josh Smith
    PF - Channing Frye
    C - Andrew Bogut

    Second Team
    G - Mo Williams
    G - Raymond Felton
    SF - Danny Granger
    PF - Darko Milicic
    C - Kendrick Perkins

    His caveats:
    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
No current stars. I'm trying to avoid Master Of The Obvious stuff here. For instance, NBA.com's GM survey named Dwight Howard as this year's top breakout player. Gee, ya think? I heard the Cavs have some guy named LeBron James that might be good, too. This list digs a bit deeper, so don't expect to see Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade, or any other Olympians or All-Stars in here.

Opportunity matters. No matter how much I like a guy, there is no point putting him on an All-Breakout team if he's not going to play. For instance, I'm a huge Andris Biedrins fan, but he might play only 10 minutes a game this year in Don Nelson's smallball system. So I'll hold off on the endorsement for a while. Similarly, some players that I might not be as high on have undeniably improved opportunities this year that could vault them ahead of their peers.

Comebacks don't count. Sorry, I'm not putting Grant Hill or Nene on this list. I'm just looking at young guys who are genuinely on the upswing, not veterans regaining their former standing by dint of improved health.

This is guys is still underrated and overlooked in my opinion. I think this guy is a winner, he can defend and amaze you offensively. I don't see why he can't average around 20/6/4 and 2 steals. He's the reason why they don't miss Larry Hughes, whose defense is overrated.
