<div class="quote_poster">Flow Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">"Blood Diamond" I loved it, it really showed how rough the life in Africa is. Ofcourse it's not a true story, but in Africa, there are 200, 000 child soldiers and the life is crazy out there. :S DiCaprio was great in this film, he really fit in that character. Ya'll should go and watch this movie. At times, it really brought sad feelings.</div> It is a really good movie. My Dad won't watch it cos it has DiCaprio in it. He is really missing out.
Ghost Rider-7.5/10 Despite it's corniness it made me laugh alot. And Eva Mendes breasts sure helped. I like the destruction his bike caused and having two Ghost Riders at one time was superb to me. The movie should've been controlled by that guy David S. Goyer I think that's how u spell his name that did Blade 2. It was suppose to be rated R orginally but Nick messed that up. I have nothing against him except for that. I've been waiting for this movie for 5yrs and was left just a little dissapointed. The constant laughing made up for it. But the fights especially against Black Heart should've been something like Blade and Nomac damnit! Without all the martial arts, but the same intensity. With a whole lot more power.
I've added three more movies to my collection: Mean Streets, Gangs of New York, and The Prestige. I've watched two of them, so far: 8.5/10: De Niro's acting in this movie was phenomenal, greatest actor ever. 10/10: I was so surprised about this movie, it was flippin' excellent. I love Christian Bale as an actor, I think he's highly underrated. Scarlett Johansson can get it.
<div class="quote_poster">I-Miss-MJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">The Prestige - 9/10. Gotta love Hugh Jackman The Illusionist - Really liked this. 8/10.</div> Yea but he sort of got owned in the end.
Anybody seen 'Man of the Year' with total pimps Robin Williams and Chrstopher Walken? I'm trying to think of something new to watch, and I've heard mixed reviews on this one. If you saw it, I'd like to hear what you thought...
It was alright. I'd give it a 7/10. If you want something new to watch, try some of these... Half Nelson -- 10/10 Unknown -- 7/10 The Protector -- 8/10 The Illusionist -- 8/10 Conversations With Other Women -- 9/10 Factotum -- 10/10 All The Kings Men -- 10/10 I don't know your taste per se but those are some good mainstream flicks. I highly reccomend Factotum, Half Nelson, and All The King's Men.
Just saw Lucky Number Slevin, might be the best movie i've ever seen. Best i've seen in awhile at least but i'm not a huge movie buff. Saw a preview for The Protector and looks good.
<div class="quote_poster">Apollo Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">The Departed. 10/10 hands down.</div> I watched it again yesterday and I think I'm changing my rating to from a 9 to a 10 as well. It was really good even though I thought the ending was just ok. How could you not love a movie with gems like this: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ellerby: Go **** yourself. Dignam: I'm tired from fucking your wife. Ellerby: How is your mother? Dignam: Good, she's tired from fucking my father. </div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Colin Sullivan: [Fighting] What the ****? Dignam: You ************! Cocksucker! Colin Sullivan: [Fighting back] What the **** did you say you cocksucker? What the **** did you fucking say? Dignam: Your mother's ****! They basically have all the dialog from the whole movie because every scene is great.
Honestly, I thought Wahlberg was the worst of the main 4 actors in The Departed. They should've given the nomination to Jack Nicholson.
Did anybody see The Last King of Scotland? I heard it was a terrible movie, but Whitaker's performance is f'n brilliant (I fully expect him to easily take BA award). Sasha, you seem like a big movie buff, so I'm mainly askin' you. BTW, How do you compare The Illusionist to The Prestige?
just got back from reno 911: Miami. pretty funny, not too great though. i guess you could say it had a bit of an overlapping plot. 6/10, maybe 7?
<div class="quote_poster">Mamba Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">BTW, How do you compare The Illusionist to The Prestige?</div> IMO The Prestige is better, it was more elaborate and thought out...even if the ending doesn't make much sense to some. The Illusionist was pretty straight forward once you realise what happens although one aspect was never explained. Its weird that two magician movies came out so close together when they are rarely made as movies anyway.
