<div class="quote_poster">Mamba Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Did anybody see The Last King of Scotland? I heard it was a terrible movie, but Whitaker's performance is f'n brilliant (I fully expect him to easily take BA award). Sasha, you seem like a big movie buff, so I'm mainly askin' you. BTW, How do you compare The Illusionist to The Prestige?</div> The Last King of Scotland was brilliant. He deserved the honor hands down. It's so good to see him acknowledged for something finally. He's awesome in Ghost Dog too. His speech is one of my favorites ever, I loved the unity aspect. I like The Prestige better, but I may be biased because I tend to have a man-crush on Christian Bale, the guy just makes terrific movies. Plus, I'm really a big fan of Christopher Nolan's (the director/screenwriter) work, he brings such light to every single piece he makes. Paul Giamatti ruined the Illusionist for me, and who the hell thought to cast Jessica Biel? She looks good, and that's where it stops. She can not act to save her life. Last one I saw was... Again. Such beauty. 10/10
Christian Bale is the most underrated actor out there, I love the guy. He is so devoted to his work and he plays such a brilliant playboy (Bruce Wayne, American Psycho). Def. in my top 5 list of actors. I liked Paul Giamatti in Cinderella Man, but I heard he wasn't so good in The Illusionist. BTW, You're spot on with Nolan. I love the guy. Memento was brilliant. I loved how he kept Batman Begins dark and somewhat evil. He stayed true to the comic book, which was fantastic. I can't wait for The Dark Knight! Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes has me happy I love your tastes in movies, they're spot on! Haven't seen that many people on here with a love of movie like mine, I'm glad I'm not the only buff here.
Just watched Stranger Than Fiction (pre-street ha), and it was decent. The climax wasn't as good as I expected and it seemed a little drawn out and boring. Ferrell wasn't even funny. 6/10
I wanted to rent Half Nelson today but it hasn't been on the floor long enough for us to rent. Got Flags Of Our Fathers and Beer League though. I'll report on them once I watch.
10/10 Great movie. They don't lie when they say Gosling puts on a hell of a performance, he was f'n brilliant.
<div class="quote_poster">Mamba Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I bought Half Nelson, how is it Sasha?</div> Awesome. He was my shoe in for Best Actor after Forest. He's really becoming a great actor. I had a chance to see Half Nelson in town at our little indie festival and I was stunned. I remember walking out of the theater in awe. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I can't wait for The Dark Knight! Thank God for Blockbuster Total Access.
Just saw The Prestige last night, and it was very good to say the least. Christian Bale puts on a great performance and reminded me why he's such a good actor. He plays his roles so perfectly and he's put out some great movies (Batman Begins, The Machinist, etc.). At times, it seems as if he can do no wrong. Hugh Jackman also did a really, really good job in my book. Overall, very good movie that I'll give 9/10 to.
<div class="quote_poster">Mamba Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Christian Bale is the most underrated actor out there, </div>totally, he is the best actor along with Leonardo DiCaprio he is the best actor under 40 working right now. I just saw The Wedding Crashers. Wasn't as funny as people made out. It was also REALLY unrealistic. They crash someone's wedding and the people invite them to sleep over at their house for 4 nights???? 6/10
10/10 Seen it about a hundred times, it gets better every time. 10/10 8/10. Wasn't fond of Leonardo here, but Daniel Day-Lewis was amazing.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">THIS IS SPARTAA!! Self explanatory. 11/10 </div> the cinematography and action scenes were great....definitely one of the years best so far........

So far...I've now seen 300 twice, and it was equally enjoyable each time. The cinemtography is amazing, the battle scenes are very well done, the music was brilliant, everything about this movie was great. It's easily the best movie I've seen this year. Rating - 15/10
