300 was amazing. It was kind of short for the magnitude of the story it's telling, but overall, the fight scenes were off the chain. Just a testerone level-pumping movie. I came out of it ready to fight anyone. Not to mention the Queen of Sparta was beautiful.

300 is getting really bad reviews in Europe from what I've heard. I'll have to see it for myself on DVD when it hits the shelves at the video store.
A lot of people seem to think it condones fascism/war or stereotypes Persians. There have been a lot of reviews that picked up on "disturbing implications" like that. I don't know, it seems like (1) people don't have any knowledge of what Sparta was or (2) they're trying to find historical accuracy from something based off a comic book. I thought it was a good "epic" movie. The battle scenes were incredible, the background story was interesting, and the characters were compelling. As long as you're not looking for some secret political message behind it, you'll be entertained. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mamba:</div><div class="quote_post">Put the crack Pipe down </div> lol, maybe its just me, but I thought that movie was overrated. The storyline was implausible and did just enough to transition from each battle scene. And Russell Crowe won an Oscar for speaking the few lines that he had as depressing and monotonous as possible.
I dunno, I'm partial to Romans. I found Gladiator to be absolutely amazing. I found the fight scenes to be amazing as well. To each his own, bro. To be fair, I didn't hate 300, I just thought the acting was corny and the plot was fairly predictable. Amazing fight scenes though. I did hate Sin City, though.

I watched 300 before. I don't see what you guys are seeing. It's good. It's not fantastic. I think Gladiator is better.
9/10 The first time they had to pair skate together. OMG I laughed so hard I had to throw my sense of humor away because my stomach almost got in knots laughing so damn hard at that scene.
Deja Vu: 10/10 Stranger than Fiction: 5/10 I saw 'em both on the plane back from Thailand last night. Deja Vu is excellent, really gets you thinking. Denzel Washington was great. Stranger than Fiction was dissapointing, the plot sucked and Will Ferrell's acting was wasted. It's a comedy, but it isn't funny.
I watched Deja Vu yesterday as well. Was a good movie. I give it 9 outta 10 Also saw Reign over me with Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle(?), not a bad movie. 8/10
oh man I just watched Hostel. Sickest, Goriest, most pointless movie ever made. I have never been sick watching a movie before but some of those scenes made me want to throw up. 5/10
