"No, I ain't mad," Michael Vick said. "He didn't do anything wrong. The world will all know when the truth comes out." I guess Michael doesn't consider stomping on another player wrong. I guess Michael doesn't consider pulling a gun on teenagers wrong. I guess Michael doesn't consider being convicted of giving teenage girls alcohol as being wrong. I guess Michael doesn't consider speeding and marijuana possession wrong. I guess Michael can stand up for Marcus when Marcus goes to trial in March. Oh wait, Michael may not be available because, in March, he has to go to his own trial for allegedly giving a girl herpes and telling her about it later. You have to love this family. You can always spot a Vick family reunion because of all the orange jumpsuits.
Ah yes, the prodigal son is watching his career slowly end as he loses his mind and loses his "athletic" ability. So much for his changing the NFL with his feet. With that being said, his character isn't helping either. But really if he could THROW the ball, less people would have issue with his tongue lashings.
He's trying to protect his baby brother. I can understand that but I think his baby bro just went a little to far. Marcus Vick deserved everthing he got.
Did both Michael & Marcus fall out of Idiot tree & hit every branch on the way down? Their momma must be so proud.

I too understand, and I'm not surprised at all.

I never said that what Marcus has done isn't wrong. I'm just saying I can understand why Michael didn't come out and start ripping into his brother about it when the media questioned him. I'm sure the family as a whole would rather deal with Marcus privately. For the record, I also never said that Marcus didn't deserve whatever he gets, because he does. He made mistakes and now he has to deal with the consequences of his actions.

For Michael to take the stance of "He made some mistakes, but I know he is a good person and I stand by him" is appropriate, but don't say "He didn't do anything wrong. The world will all know when the truth comes out." If Michael were being a good brother he would be honest first, but stand by his brother and help him to act more honorable than he has.
Yeah, I see what you're saying VF. Kinda makes you wonder if Michael actually believes Marcus did nothing wrong or if he just doesn't want to admit it publically. Regardless, the Vick's have some issues on their hands thats for sure.
I really don't think the stomping thing is all that bad, if you watched gaelic football or even the english people play soccer. It does happen in a high octane game. And I also beleive he didnt pull a gun on those kids, he just pulled his jacket back to scare them. Still a stupid thing to do but the way people are saying is that he pointed it at them. He has done stupid things, makes me wonder why a id with such ability would do it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Wannab Favre)</div><div class='quotemain'>I really don't think the stomping thing is all that bad, if you watched gaelic football or even the english people play soccer. It was really disturbing to see. Thankfully, it didn't appear that the player, that got kicked, was hurt. Regarding the Vick stomping incident, it may not seem like such a big deal, but how would we be viewing the incident if Elvis Dumervil had sustained a serious knee injury. Finally, I just can't accept the high octane game excuse. Part of the reason this crap is happening is because we overlook athletes bad behavior because they are talented. Someone, preferably in a position of power in the Virginia Tech Athletic Department, needs to step up and say, "Enough is enough." Players must play with good sportsmanship or be held accountable for their actions.
I saw that... it was ridiculous. All he did was apologize after the fact. SUSPEND HIM. KICK HIM OFF THE TEAM. Man...
I play amateur Gaeliv Football and I don't care what you say, in the heat of battle, you do things you wouldn't consider doing otherwise! If it was in the NFL or the English Soccer Premiership where players are getting payed thousands and millions to represent football teams, I would understand kicking him off the team or suspending or fining. But not a 21 year old playing football for fun. It is college ball and these players dont get millions and thus may not consider their actions. Funny story, A team about 20 minutes from me got really badly screwed by a red and they beat him up and put him into the boot (trunk) of a car! That was old time Ireland though....back in 2000!
Any individiual under the scrutiny and spotlight of the national media should be responsible for their actions. You can't let one or two bad apples spoil the whole bunch!
