Thanks for making the preview d-money. You have been doing a great job making these and contributing to the forum with your threads. Keep up the great work. Alright guys, the season opener is finally here. Let's make this thread huge and keep all the game's dicussion in here. Pregame, during the game, or postgame just post it in here. We have waited all offseason for this game and we finally get to see how our players will do. I'm going to post my prediction, as well as Key Matchups, Player Analysis, and Keys to the Game sometime tonight or tomorrow.
I think the Magic win, mainly because it will be their first game and it's in front of their own crowd, while the Bulls have to play in Miami on Tuesday night. Look for Dwight Howard to put up huge numbers, since he always seems to do good on the glass and offensively against star players and Ben Wallace is a star. The key to this game will be the other big position. We have a big advantage size wise against the Bulls and Battie/Darko will have to take pressure off of Jameer, Dwight, and Hedo, who are all going to be guarded by a very good defender.
the key matchups are no-doubtedly at the point and at the center positions, whoever wins those matchups wins the game, its that simple
<div class="quote_poster">d-money12 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">the key matchups are no-doubtedly at the point and at the center positions, whoever wins those matchups wins the game, its that simple</div> I disagree, chicago guards dominate the offence. There is no matchup to win down low. when our guards are on that when the bulls are at their best. And you had better hope the bulls win against the heat because if they dont. They are gonna be a harder team for you to beat. Thats like saying that the dennis rodman carl malone matchup desided the 97 and 98 bulls championships. this will be a battle of guards. 2 undersized teams at the guard position. This may be a fun game to watch.

I think both teams will try to push the tempo, chicago has better defense but Orlando has better offense w/ a scorer at every position and Dwight commanding double teams. Still I think this will be a close game with scoring in the mid 90's something like 93-97 I predict Orlando will win just because it's a home game.
Orlando has a better offence? your just a orlando fanboy chicago was better last year and now they are more better with wallace
<div class="quote_poster">michiganave17 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Orlando has a better offence? your just a orlando fanboy chicago was better last year and now they are more better with wallace</div> Yeah Orlando does have a better offense. PG is a push, SG is a slight advantage to the Bulls, SF is a bigger advantage to the Magic, PF is a push, and C is a huge advantage for the Magic. Ben Wallace doesn't really improve an offense at all, so not sure why you bring up Ben Wallace when you are talking about who has a better offense. I like the Bulls this year a lot, but it's a home opener with high hopes and the Bulls will be a little tired after playing a tough game against the Heat the night before, while the Magic will be fresh and ready to prove all their sleeper team hype. My predictions are: Jameer putting up 15 and 6 Hill putting up 12 4 4 Turkoglu putting up 21 and 5 boards 3 assists Battie putting up 4 points and 5 rebounds Dwight putting up 24 points and 13 boards Darko coming off of the bench to put up 8 points and 4 boards.
<div class="quote_poster">michiganave17 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Orlando has a better *offence? *your just *a orlando fanboy* chicago was better last year* and *now they are *more better with wallace</div> *offense *you're *an *insert a semi colon or period *insert a comma *this word does not belong in the sentence, it should be "still" * more better? I think you just mean better. You're a Chicago fanboy. That might be why you've confused the terms "fan" and "fanboy", and mislabeled TheHighness. Illiterate.
In reality <u>Offence</u> Hinrich>Nelson Gordon>Hill Deng/Noch>Turk Brown=Battie Howard> Ben <u>Defence</u> Hinrich>nelson Gordon< Hill Noc/deng>Turk Brown=Battie Wallace>Howard The Bulls are a better team offencivly and defencivly and thats not even considering the bench. Our bench definatly puts us over the top.
Not one to be huge on spelling but damn, there is no C in offense or in defense. On the topic, I think the Magic win by single digits. The Magic should control the boards and our bench should be able to outplay the Bulls bench. I think Kirk and Ben Gordon should have pretty good games as will Andre N. In the end it is a home game and the Bulls are on a back to back. Orlando 96 Chicago 89

We all make spelling or grammatical errors on some posts and this is one from your last post. <div class="quote_poster">smokrockz Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">He was asking about my cell phone and I was joking with him about him steal my number.</div> So stop with the misspelling and grammatical errors and lets just stick to the topic of the Orlando Chicago game.

Orlando wasn’t a better team than the Bulls last year. They now have lost a good small forward and they gained an unproven (due to injury) SG. And now they are a better team then Chicago? Yes Howard has improved. Turk is the same. Hill is questionable. Nelson may have improved. Battie is what he is. He has peaked into a good hustle guy. The bulls upgraded in the center position. Hinrich has improved. Gordon has added drawing fouls to his game. Noch is better. Deng is finally 100 percent. Brown gives us extra size in the middle. And I wont bring up the bench. We have arguably the best bench in the NBA. Offensively and Overall the Bulls are a better team. Nothing against Orlando, I like your squad but the Bulls are closer to a ring then the magic is.
I like both Orlando's and Chicago's teams, I think Orlando has great talent in Howard and the combo of Howard/Darko can be a very good one if they have good chemistry. However I do think that Chicago is the better team at this point. They are solid at pretty much every position. PG is strong with Chris Duhon and Kirk Hinrich SG has Ben Gordan/ Adrian Griffin SF: Deng/Nocioni PF: Tyrus Thomas/Sweetney C: Ben Wallace/PJ Brown

But I'm curious to see how jj does. We have a debate about him going on at work. Some think he will be good others think he will be a bust. Me personally, I'm not convinced that he can make that big of an impact but I may be wrong. I hope he gets at least 15-20 minutes so that i can see what he's made of. If Hill is balling this year his time on the floor will be very limited I dont think he will get the minutes to grab the rookie of the year award.
