<div class="quote_poster">michiganave17 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Orlando wasn?t a better team than the Bulls last year. They now have lost a good small forward and they gained an unproven (due to injury) SG. And now they are a better team then Chicago? </div>

The Magic have lost a good SF? Are you talking Deshawn Stevenson? Hill playing 70 games is a big upgrade over Stevenson and anyway Stevenson was a SG.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Yes Howard has improved. Turk is the same. Hill is questionable. Nelson may have improved. Battie is what he is. He has peaked into a good hustle guy.</div>

I'm not sure if you seen at the end of the season when Turkoglu was just going off on everyone. He is a really good player. Nelson/Darko/Dwight have all improved in big ways.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The bulls upgraded in the center position. Hinrich has improved. Gordon has added drawing fouls to his game. Noch is better. Deng is finally 100 percent. Brown gives us extra size in the middle. And I wont bring up the bench. We have arguably the best bench in the NBA. Offensively and Overall the Bulls are a better team. Nothing against Orlando, I like your squad but the Bulls are closer to a ring then the magic is.</div>

I love your team. I would have picked them to win their division even if they didn't sign Ben Wallace to be honest with you. You guys have a very bright future and it's good to see the Bulls being back.

No one is arguing that the Bulls aren't closer to a ring then the Magic. We are arguing that in the Magic's home opener(which we normally do come out strong) in our first game we will beat your Bulls after they play the Heat the night before. We are arguing that a fresh Magic team at home would beat a Bulls team that could be a little fatigued on the road.

    <div class="quote_poster">michiganave17 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">In reality

    <u>Offence</u>
    Hinrich>Nelson
    Gordon>Hill
    Deng/Noch>Turk
    Brown=Battie
    Howard> Ben

    <u>Defence</u>

    Hinrich>nelson
    Gordon< Hill
    Noc/deng>Turk
    Brown=Battie
    Wallace>Howard

The Bulls are a better team offencivly and defencivly and thats not even considering the bench. Our bench definatly puts us over the top.</div>

-Like I said, I would put Hinrich and Nelson very very close. You are underrating Nelson, he has proven big when he starts and he always plays his best against the best PG's and that's what Hinrich is. Hinrich will likely get the edge, but it will be pretty damn close.
-I would give Gordon the matchup against Hill, mainly because Hill will likely only play 20-25 minutes and who knows how effective he will be.
-I'd put Turk over Deng/Nocioni. YOu are underestimating him too. He can flat out score from anywhere on the court and anytime he shoots it is a high percentage shot.
-I'd give PJ Brown the advantage over Tony Battie.
-Dwight gets it over Ben, because he is as good if not a better rebounder and is much better offensively then Ben.

So I give the Bulls 3 advantages to 2. I'm not too familiar with the Bulls bench, but the Magic have the best bench that they have had in some time. They have Arroyo and Dooling to help out at PG. Bogans and Ariza in the wings, and Darko as the main big. Those 5 guys are pretty good quality to have coming off of your bench.

<div class="quote_poster">michiganave17 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">But I'm curious to see how jj does. We have a debate about him going on at work. Some think he will be good others think he will be a bust. Me personally, I'm not convinced that he can make that big of an impact but I may be wrong. I hope he gets at least 15-20 minutes so that i can see what he's made of. If Hill is balling this year his time on the floor will be very limited I dont think he will get the minutes to grab the rookie of the year award.</div>

JJ is likely to start the season on the injured list.

After tonights thrashing of Miami, I think we will continue the good start tomorrow.

We should still be fresh with only 3 players playing over 25 minutes.

They wont from a Bulls fans lol it would be nice but its not going to happen. Miami lost by a lot because they were over confident and just thought they could easily win because they were the Champs. Also another thing is that Miami Heat is an overrated team and should not have even won the Championship last season.

But Orlando i think yall will play a good game but since im a Bulls fan i will say the Bulls are going to win just like yall Magic fans say yall are going to win.

Remember Magic fans yall are facing a totally different team from last year and im not just saying it just because we got Ben Wallace but weve added a lot of other players and got rid of players like Tyson Chandler and Othella Harrington that lost us more games than helped us win them.

    Good luck!

im just glad that duhon and thomas arent playing...thomas=nasty, duhon=magic killer...i say this is a close game with the magic going on a lil bit of a run in the end simply because we are at home and the Bulls, even though most players didnt play over 25 minutes last night, still played...the heat lost not because of chicago's good play (dont get me wrong the bulls played great) but because they SUCK...im still in awe that they won the championship

btw, did anyone else see how hideous those rings are?

Expect the Magic to come out strong, while the Bulls come out flat and get an early double digit lead and then the Bulls come back and make it a game and possibly win(since they traditionally do that to us the last couple of years). I'm confident in the Magic this game and I am just hoping Hinrich and Duhon got all those baskets out of their system last night. [IMG]

I'm pissed. I live 2 hours away from Orlando in Gainesville and they don't offer the road channel, only Sunshine. So I can only see half of the games. Keep me updated.

If you have DISH network, there is a free preview of NBATV right now so you'd have the league pass for this week. Maybe you can watch it that way Gators?

Where on NBA.com do they have it? Is it just this? Or is there somewhere I can just watch the score live on the Magic game?

When the game starts, it will show the stats and score on the left hand side with the team names. When the game starts, you can click that and it will give play by play and statistics and stuff.

I probably would've found that out if I would've waited. Just a little over anxious I guess since it's 7:15 and it hasn't started yet. [IMG]

EDIT: Awesome, it started. Lets go Magic!
