<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MAITLAND -- After two seasons, Dwight Howard has made the art of registering and averaging a double-double look almost routine. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that his Orlando Magic teammates have another double-digit category in mind for him when they begin the 2006-07 season Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls. "This will be a big year for Dwight Howard," Tony Battie said. "This is where he goes from an 8 to 10." "He's probably the one guy who was ready to go the first day of training camp, and the rest of us are catching up," Grant Hill added. "He's ready to go, and we've got to be ready to go with him." Even while playing nearly 10 fewer minutes a game than the Magic will likely expect from him during the regular season, Howard averaged more than 17 points and 10 rebounds in the preseason. Those statistics aren't too far removed from last year, when he had at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in 60 of 82 games and led the NBA with a total of 1,022 rebounds. But his improvement in other aspects of his game is where the Magic are especially pleased. Howard had more assists than turnovers in the preseason and could challenge Darko Milicic for honors as the top passing big man on the team. He also hit almost 70 percent of his free throws, including a 10-for-12 performance Thursday night in a victory over the Houston Rockets. "To me, there's a huge difference between this time this year and this time last year with Dwight," coach Brian Hill said after that game. "He's just so much more confident and so much more sure of all the different situations on the floor, both offensively and defensively." "I see patience," Battie said. "He understands and reads the double-teams a lot better. His passing out of the double-teams is a lot better."</div> Source
This is the year that Dwight Howard will begin getting into discussions with the 03 draft class on who is the best young player in the league.

Two things I've been looking for improvement in relation to Howard were his passing and turnovers. If he improves those areas, it makes you trust him more with the ball, which in turn allows him to get more touches. He's been beastly in pre-season, looks like a definate 20-10 season for him.
so with his passing being better, anyone dare to say 1 triple double is possible...he almost had one last year...he had 6 assists going into the 4th qtr along with like 22 points and like 13 rebounds against the hawks or something and he didnt play the 4th quarter at all

I don't think he'll get one this year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him get it if he continue to develops his outside game.
<div class="quote_poster">CLos Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">A quadruple double?? Are you insane? Dwight CAN NOT ever get one of those!</div> I was just kidding on that, my last sentence, I was actually just answering d-money's question him getting a triple double.
Dwight looked great from the highlights I saw last night....when I get league pass (oh yes I will be getting it), I'll DEFINITELY be keeping track of him. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A scary one that will average atleast 18 and 13 this year</div> I actually think he'll be a 20 + ppg player this season
