Crazy, Luke and Nick both resigned within a week of eachother. Is this a leap year or something?

Apparently they were drafted within a few minutes of eachother, though I can't confirm this.

What a flip/flop. 5 years $33M freed up by the new owner apparently allowed Rick Sund to convince Collison's agent to talk. Looks to me like the new ownership decided to start their tenure by spending some cash. Now Lewis doesn't want to talk extension so Hill is the next on the list.

Another surprising move--although I am not as upset about this move than I am Ridnour's resigning.

I highly doubt that this 33 million deal isn't incentive based but I think that Nick Collison is our most effective low post threat and should be compensated for that. I understand that his stats say otherwise, but he didn't have the luxury of playing starter's minutes at the four when he was healthy. Wilcox had the luxury of a hurt Collison/Fortson and a traded Reggie Evans when he put up his 20 million dollar numbers.

It is going to take me some time to get used to this free spending. Ultimately I hope that it gives this kids the financial security to concentrate on basketball and help us wins some games. I just find it interesting that these moves were done so hastily.

...but at I am excited that Nick is in the mix for the foreseeable future.

The numbers are lower than first reported...

4 years @ $26M is what is now being reported.
