<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Vince Carter, a former malcontent with the Raptors, is privately thinking about seeking a return to Toronto next year. I?m serious. ?Vince has talked to his agent about the idea,? one of Carter?s closest friends tells me. ?He wonders if he could patch things up with the Raptors. He even wants the idea floated to the Raptors privately. ?Listen, you have to understand that Vince was unhappy with the old management, but he respects (new general manager) Bryan Colangelo and he?s always loved Toronto and its fans.? And there?s no doubt, the friend said, that Carter will exercise his option with the Nets to become a free agent after this season. ?Vince owns a mansion in Orlando, so he?s thinking about the Magic,? the friend said. ?But Toronto appeals to him, too.?</div> Source thedude9990 found this and posted it in the Raptors forum. I decided to post it here so Nets' fans can discuss it. Good find thedude9990. This is becoming scary. I guess all that "I love NJ" talk isn't exactly true. We're going to have to face that fact that Carter may decide to leave us for another team.
I saw this coming, but was surprised that he wanted to come back to T.O. What you feel about VC now Jersey fans?
umm trade him b4 the trade deadline? anyways i didnt wanna post it in the nets forum because its a canadian site and at the end of the link it says =false so i wasnt sure if it was like a true story so i was gunna wait until someone from canada would of said thats not a good site or something
This might be false. Just a rumor. You don't know for sure. We will just have to wait and see until the end of the season to see where he decides to play. I really hope he stays in New Jersey. I think that with Jason Kidd getting older the Nets' chances of winning a title is getting slimmer and slimmer. The better choice out of Orlando and Toronto would probably be Toronto. I don't know if the fans would except him back. Raptor fans and Vince haters, would you forget all that's happened to with Vince Carter and the Toronto organization if he came back? Edit- Plus I've heard that the Toronto newspapers and media are worst than the American ones. I think that this is all fake and just a false rumor.

You cant just say all Raptor fans are VC haters, some of them still have respect for him. To answer your question, of course we will forget about it, we already have. PS- Canadian media isn't as bad as you think.
I do have the idea that it might be all just made up. It's just funny when they use the "close friend" in these kind of articles. However if Carter decides to leave, I won't be thrilled nor mad. For the time he has been here he has played hard, and if he decides he wants to go back then he should. It would be pretty sad to see him gone, but then again we can't hate him for it either. There are going to be plenty of stories this season about Carter leaving to Orlando, Toronto etc but we will know his decision after this season.
<div class="quote_poster">Answer_AI03 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">i would love the raptors if VC paired up with bosh. that would be a pretty deadly team.</div> Yeah, but it might be deadleir in Orlando. Howard, Nelson, and Carter.

Let's just say Carter leaves, what do the Nets do? Who do they go after? Would Kidd request a trade? In a way it would be an interesting scenerio.

<div class="quote_poster">hustler Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Nah, Kidd has heart for New Jersey, his number will be retired in New Jersey and he'll finish his career here.</div> Kidd did request a trade when Kittles and Martin were traded. Kidd may have the love for NJ but he really wants and a ring and definately deserves one, not to mention a stolen MVP trophy.
I think that if Vince leaves, Kidd would won't to leave too. Like Kidd mentioned, JKidd is getting older and his desire to win a ring is more than ever. I wish he could get one before he retires.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carter:</div><div class="quote_post">Edit- Plus I've heard that the Toronto newspapers and media are worst than the American ones.</div> Where did you hear that? <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carter:</div><div class="quote_post">I didn't say all Raptor fans were Vince Haters. About 80 percent is.</div> And how did you come up with that figure? Stop pulling facts out of your ass. Anyways, back to the topic, I agree with the majority. This is BS. Marty York is a very crappy sports reporter that writes for a free newspaper, because he has no credibility. The Raptors wouldn't have the cap space for Carter, they probably wouldn't want to invest that much money in him (at that age), and I don't see why Carter would try to return to Toronto after having burned all bridges.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carter:</div><div class="quote_post">You guys used to always say it in the Raptors forum when I first joined JBB.</div> Nobody says that our media is worse than America's. <div class="quote_poster">Chutney Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Nobody says that our media is worse than America's. That the media/newspaper on Basketball are worse than American ones, especially with rumors. Atleast that's what I think he meant. Carter to Toronto seems like a pipe dream at this point imo, either that or Carter is just a flat out hypocrite.
It might be something made up to rattle the Nets. I think a lot of people know that the Nets are going to push hard this season. I believe that Carter and Kidd are on the same page this year. They want to win. If it does turn out to be true, I expect a lot of dissapointed people and not only from New Jersey. As for Jason Kidd, he would want to retire as a Net, but like we all know, he wants a championship bad. If he does opt for a trade, the people of New Jersey would understand. Jason Kidd gave his loyalty to the Nets organization and fans. When he had the opportunity to join Tim Duncan at San Antonio, where he could have gotten his ring, he chose to stay as a Net. He wanted to give the city of New jersey a championship. Now is a different time and a different situation. It will be a dark day if Kidd leaves but New Jersey will support whatever decision Kidd make's in the future.
