What about Karma? I have no problem doing this slowly during the school year. The rest of the competitors are regular posters so we can afford to take our time if we want.

Well right now we have two options.

    1) Karma said earlier that he was willing to dropout (due to the fact he was busy and just wouldn't have time) of the competition to keep it alive. So we can take him out of the tourney, and have a 3way, 1 verse battle between the people who lost in the 2nd round (phun, AF and j_ray). Winner is chosen by either the judges, or Karma, then will advance to face me in the 3rd round.

    OR

    2) We wait for Karma to become active again, and we continue as it was. Aznx doesn't seem to be in the competition anymore, so we either give Karma a bye, or have him face one of the losers in round 2.

I like the first idea. I'm driving back to TO tomorrow morning, so I'll send PM's and everything on Sunday most likely and see how everyone is with the approach.

Alright, hopefully we get this thing going back to normal by Monday.

If you need any help organizing this, give me a shout Chutney.

Seems as if this is officially over....we should just lock these up and try in the summer again.

I guess the Carter vs Umair battle didn't get this thing going again. [IMG]

I wanted to take the 'chip too. I guess we know what to do next tourney. Maybe we can set something up around Easter?

Anyway, I think this was the best tourney in terms of quality. Since the summer everyone has improved. It should be interesting to see our growth next tourney.

We should just call eachother out for now, until the next tourney LOL! Last time we started calling eachother out, everyone got excited about freestyling again and that's how it started.

Take this as learning experience. The biggest mistake here was the battles went on too long, 3 verses and a 2-4 day wait to finish is far too long, next time it should be one verse each, with say 16 bars, the final battle being 3 verses each (since it should see the 2 top battlers). The ideal tournament should last no longer than a week, this has dragged on for what, like 3-4 weeks?

Yea, I'll take full blame for letting it drag on too long and not really checking up on it enough towards the end. If I were to take one thing out of it, it'd probably be a hesitancy to have 16 competitors. Dealing with everyone's schedules, people dropping out randomly, and posters who nobody really knew was way too much of a hassle. Hopefully, we can do this thing properly during the summer or something.

^Nah man. Dont take the blame for it. Not your fault that people had to drop out. Next time lets just call people out and battle them. And yeah like NTC said 3 verses are pretty long. Make like either 1 verse 16 bars or 2 verses 12 bars. The battles were taking too long. Good luck next time. Lets do one in Spring Break coming up in February.
