O'Connor, in charge of Utah's player acquisition for the past seven years, signed a four-year contract extension Thursday after "about 15 minutes" of negotiation, he said. "I don't know if I'd even classify them as negotiations. We sat down, I said 'Are you comfortable with how things are going?' and they said they are."
O'Connor was entering the final season of a contract he signed in 2001, but said he never considered the possibility of going anywhere else. "I've always wanted this to be my last job," said O'Connor, hired to replace Scott Layden in 1999. "I feel very comfortable with the organization, as long as they're comfortable with me. There are not many jobs in the NBA where you have an owner who cares as much for the guys who work for him as much as Larry [Miller] does." </div>
