<div class="quote_poster">Iggy Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I really underestimated Parker when we got him, but he's proved alot of doubters wrong. He's impressed me and now I'm glad to have him on our team.</div> I was pretty much in the opposite side. I was excited when we signed him because I thought he could help out our offense a lot. But seeing him in the preseason made me start to worry that it might have been the wrong move. But then I saw him in the first game and he looked great. It's going to be up and down but the great thing about Parker is that he will never hurt the team. He doesn't force anything, doesn't turn the ball over and plays solid defence. I think he will be a calming presence in our lineup. Seems like he would be a good candidate to take some clutch shots as well. <div class="quote_poster">Iggy Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">BTW What do you guys think of my preview? First one I've ever done on JBB, if there are any pointers you can give I'd appreciate it.</div> If I were to rate it in terms of Raptor players, it would be the Anthony Parker of previews. Nothing flashy but very solid and gets the job done. ----- Damn, I look back at the score after I posted that and it's turned into a route!
Did anyone see the starting lineup video? They made a new one, which was alright..Way better then the last one.
Great win, Chris was fantastic tonight, really a great response after the tough game he had in the opener. Jose was impressive, he looked good out there and I was quite surprised with rasho, he is better than I thought.
Funniest play of the night: Bosh blocks some player, Ruben Patterson grabs the loose ball, proceeds to pump fake like 30 times and then gets blocked by Bosh again. Even if he's on another team, Charlie's injury was a downer for me.
I didn't catch the game but I saw some highlights. Nice to see Bosh show some emotion and have a good comeback game. btw, lol @ Humphries being highlighted in the boxscore

Yea I totally am with you Chutney, I don't like seeing Charlie V injured even though he is with the bucks. -Rasho has been shooting pretty bad, at least he had 3 blocked shots tonight. -It seemed to me that Bosh had like 5 two handed dunks. Fred Jones' dunk was nice. -Anthony Parker was solid with 5 assists -Garbajosa was on fire during preseason, but hasn't shot too well the last two games. I'm sure he'll come around.
<div class="quote_poster">hustler Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">No monster jams by Graham?</div> He only played 3 minutes, but the dunk by Fred Jones more than makes up for it. Btw, TJ Ford could have easily had 20 assists if other players had caught his passes on the break, or made the easy shot. There was one time when Rasho had the ball right under the basket on the break, turned around and was short on a 3-feet jump hook lol.
Ford probably could have had 20 points also if he could consistantly make a layup. His passing is a level ahead of his teammates right now, they don't seem to expect the ball at times. As great as Ford played, i was equally impressed with Calderon. The guy punished the defense everytime they stepped off him and dared him to shoot. Jose needs a contract extension ...
Man they should start playing an all-euro line with: PG: Calderon SG: Parker SF: Garbajosa PF: Bargnani C: Nesterovic That would be pretty cool and I'm pretty sure they'd all play well togethre.
I want Bargnani to get a little more time. He hasn't proven to be a liability yet, and he won't get used to defensive rotations and moving around on offense, without more minutes. I know he's going to take time, but he's had enough experience to be able to adjust when given the minutes. Our PG's look really strong and it's a welcome change to have that as one of strengths now. I'm trying to think of other teams that really compare with our depth at the 1. Theres Dallas, Seattle, Chicago...
Dallas actually is deeper than us at the one. Jason Terry, Harris and Anthony Johnson can all start on another team. There's also New York, surprisingly, and Phoenix.
Yea, I didn't necessarily mean that we had the best. But we are up there. Phoenix has depth for the style that they run, so I guess you could put them up there. New York has depth at a lot of positions, but it hasn't really worked out for them, so I wouldn't put them up there.

And Barganai can't defend anyone yet. You just gotta hope that Raps win by big like last night, so that Bargnani can play during garbage time and show somethin.
I don't understand how garbage time is supposed to help him raise his level of play, that's pretty much the Darko formula. I would disagree that Bargnani is a complete liability on defense, he does foul a lot but that doesnt necessarily make him a disaster. If Garbajosa can be ineffective on the boards and jack up shots from the outside and get schooled by Bogut on defense, I don't understand why Bargnani can't have a similar privlage. He's going to show an improvement as the season goes on, but he can't be expected to do that without some meaningful pt.
