Did Ben score on his dive right before half time? It was definitely a "Bang, Bang" play and the only opinion that really matters said Touchdown.

What most non Hawks/non Jets fans don't know is that on the last week of the regular season in 1998 Vinny Testaverde was scrambling with no time left on the clock in the 4th quarter. On a very eerily similar play he dove for the goal line and was hit by several Hawks and stopped short with only his helmet on the Goal line. The goal line official, Phil Luckett who Steelers fans know from the infamous Bettis Heads/Tails call, signaled touchdown Jets and there was no instant replay. The Hawks lost the game and finished the season 9-7 missing the playoffs on tiebreakers. Dennis Erickson was fired as head coach and new owner Paul Allen hired Mike Holmgren away from the Pack. Holmgren was instrumental in getting replay back in the NFL for the '99 season as he is a big part of the competition comity. Luckett has been demoted several times and it's a wonder he still makes calls on Sundays.

Sorry for the randomness of this post. These are the kind of things that go through your mind after your team loses in the Superbowl.

i think the ball went over...this wasnt the trickory of Testy...this was big Ben carrying the ball having it cross the WHITE line while he was still in the air...my cousins are Seahawk fans and live in Spokane...they still tell me stories of the Vinny drive...
