I HOPE you guys saw this. It was when the Laker made the comeback late in the 4th qtr to tie the game at 94-94 and Sonics took a timeout. It showed everyone high-fiving, and Lamar Odom was sitting on the bench by himself looking all depressed, and Ronny Turiaf starts CLAPPING really hard right in front of his face, and Odom looks up at him ANNOYED and looked away. OH man, I rewinded it a good 4 times, that was great. Anyone else see that?

Just goes to show how much energy Ronny brings to the team. Odom was sitting there, frowning, and staring at the court. Then Ronny came and started clapping in his face. lol. Odom was like, wtf??
Has Odom smiled much in these games? From the ESPN article Chutney posted, it seems as if Lamar thinks of his son during games.

I noticed Ronny clapping in someones face. Thought it was Evans. Leave Odom in peace. He could have been thinking about his boy...

He's not jolly or anything, but he doesn't seem like he wants to kill anyone neither.
Odom writes his Grandma's name, his son, and one other person on his shoes before every game to remind himself to stay focused. I thought the funniest moment was when Kobe went up to dunk, and got hung up on the rim.
1 - It was far from funny. If you think coping with a tragedy is funny, then you've got some issues. Odom is in a lot of emotional pain right now, honestly, I'd get very annoyed with Turiaf if I was Odom. Turiaf is one of those guys that if you're in that kind of mood, he's great. But if you're sad or mad, you want to beat the crap out of him. I'm not a big fan of Turiaf this season so far, I think he's energy is a little annoying, but whatever, it's good for the team. I thought Kobe hurt himself as well on that play.

"It was far from funny. If you think coping with a tragedy is funny, then you've got some issues" Get off the morals for a minute and take things for face value... it was hillariously funny I thought I was the only one who noticed that and when I saw this thread it brought it all back. Odom's loss is just that a loss but he's not the only one who has suffered a loss mnay of us have lost a father, a sibling, a friend, a child aswell but life goes on and we have to learn to laugh at life and have moments like this. You can't hate or blame Ronny for enjoying life what do u expect the whole lakers team to be sad and console odom the whole season? Im certain the lakers have expressed their condolences privately. For all we know Lamar just has a nonchalant, laidback, and unfazed personality (this is the same guy who blazed it with the clippers) that's just his demeanor you are overanalyzing the moment. bottomline that was the funniest moment in tv Lakers or not that Ive seen in a while. has anyone tried to youtube it?
Well, first of all, I've got to say I have never even thought of the possibility that Odom was thinking about his child at the time. I thought he was just sitting there looking bored because of the game. If he indeed was thinking of his child at the time, then yes, that may not have been a "funny" thing for Ronny to do. But how can you blame him? Ronny was excited (just like most of us), and was trying to bring some energy onto the team. I'm sure if Ronny was aware that Odom was thinking of his child, he wouldn't have reacted the same way

I'm sure he doesn't need anyone to try and cheer him up, it'll only make him feel worse. I'm also sure most people on JBB has experienced a loss, and know what it's like. But I mean, it was his son...how much more terrible can a guy feel?

Clapping in Odom's face may not have been the smartest thing to do, but after tying the game back up, your players are going to feel excited. Again, I'm not saying what Ronny did was right, but he was just in the moment, and was trying to bring some energy onto the bench. I can't say I really blame him. When you get really excited, you usually don't think twice before doing something. I'm pretty sure the same exact thing happened with Ronny last night. If Odom really felt disrespected, or annoyed with Ronny, I'm sure the two would have sat down after the game and talked about it.
What quarter did this take place in? I remember last season when Ronny was jumping around on the sidelines, pumping his fist, he got some looks from the rest of the team, "Like yo, check homeboy out, he crazy or something?" Having that enormous fro only added to the laughs.
Personally, I didn't like Ronny doing what he did to Odom. I thought it was disrespectful. That was my view. I spoke my mind and I dont think anyone was attacking you on a personal level..
